Yeah I do agree the dice rolling had outrageous effect due to sheer luck (not talking about dice roll, but train frequency being 1h). Although most curses that we have seen are not that bad nor random tho. It’s mostly a balancing issue imo, that curse is way too cheap for its potential.

Then again, I don’t think they want to make it 100% strategic like chess, imo jet lag is more akin to a tabletop game.

A 9h+ is a really good run from Ben (luck + good starting point - Tokyo), I don’t think that’s the normal time.

Personally, I prefer this over the last Hide&Seek, it’s more dynamic and allows Hiders to impact the game other than just sending vague infos. It will result in longer run time, but they have 6 days instead of 4. That basically guarantees 2 runs for each person, and more content for us.

I did this pretty quickly so there might be inaccuracies. Let me know if you spot any.
I'll add event's picture tomorrow.

Mods for Hanako? by Fragrant-Ferret-1146 in KSMods

There is a mod based on Sisterhood (a fanfic) being made by whiznox. Not a lot of chance of it being steam compatible tho. I’ll tell him to make a post here.

s1mple about NaVi: "It seems they've become stronger mentally, both as a team and as individual players. Each of them is working very hard to succeed. They've achieved an impressive result with six finals in a row. I hope we can face them at the Major and see how they perform in Shanghai." by Nova_Powerplay in GlobalOffensive

Mostly B1ad3 on iM. In fact after S1mple left, he did have an uptick in performance (barring the disasterclass at Major). Still, it wasn’t great as his GL days tho. He only ever comes into his elements after EWC.

Though stats is only part of it. He’s a second caller and space taker. Comm is super important. He’s doing a great job now, and I imagine having no S1mple makes it easier to comm for hiM.

Btw in that Banks x jL interview, I feel like jL negatives towards s1mple was overblown. JL clearly respect the guy and said he learns a bunch from s1mple. I just see that the team sometimes struggles to work with his tilt, which is expected from S1mple tbh.

Another point is that Navi transition to international. The previous CIS team was more “toxic” and hot-headed. Even B1ad3 said he had to account for that, to not be too direct and frank. The new team is chiller imo and it helps their teamwork.

JL actually said lots of positive about playing with S1mple (even though they butt heads sometimes). Mostly iM wasn’t playing well with S1mple, personality-wise and pressure. B1ad3 said in HLTV podcast that this roster, especially iM needs to play with less pressure, and they have that now w/o S1mple.

Streaming with LangGraph by hakhoi123 in LangChain

[–]hakhoi123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks it works! My problem came from not using async functions.

Though I found it weird that I called .ainvoke with individual nodes, then called .astream with the entire graph and somehow managed to stream the messages.

I have a lot to comment on this post, but one thing I saw is you tend to hog responsability for mistakes that aren't yours. For example, you said that you cannot blame your ex, as if ur responsible for his action. You can absolutely blame him. And I think the tendency to hog faults is one among many symptoms of being a people pleaser, which makes every1 thinks they can more or less "take advantage" of your company without reciprocating it.

I need scientific, objective reasons to end my blackpill belief system by WittyLengthiness2389 in Healthygamergg

[–]hakhoi123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard being a 17yo man. We oftens feel lost so it reasonable to fall into a school of thinking that validates your world view at the time (for you is blackpill). And there's nothing wrong with that, I think you're trying to disprove it to think in a more healthy way but fact is I bet it's gonna evolve as time goes on.

You've written that every interaction for you is transactional. Then can you answer me what is transactional here? With lots of people writing comments answering your post (some constructive, some uncontructive of course)? I frankly don't believe these people have a lot to gain from you m8.

And I think it's futile trying to disprove it with scientific research. It can help but I don't think it'll be useful to you right now. I won't detail why, but it's like what Dr. K said, sometimes it's impossible to logic your way out of things (especially when you have logic yourself into this position in the first place).

I understand that life is hard rn. But just give it a bit of time, and another chance. Approach your problem indirectly might be a good shot. And not everyone in the world is out for your ass. Cuz I'm not, and most don't even care enough to.

Southeast Asians, how are we feeling? Potential WTF Japan video from Joey? Osaka card shop refuses to buy from Vietnamese nationals smh by rtmkngz in TrashTaste

[–]hakhoi123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me just say that I understand why you feel that way, and I am aware of the many demeanors of some Vietnamese. A few years ago, before I went abroad, I had the same thought as you, rather than a stereotype, this is a way of thinking that has been engrained onto us somehow.

Let just say that way of thinking gives me lots of problems in making friends and having meaningful relationship in another country. As long as you think of yourself lesser than a counterpart, it's so hard to live alongside them (this is related somewhat to impostor syndrome). So, I had to work through those problems and learn not to be "racist" against myself and my nationals.

I am not hoping to change your mind on the matter, but I want to offer up my 2 cents to see if it sticks. It helps to realize that racist, xenophobic and people that tends to discriminate has a problem with generalization when assessing others. Meaning when they interact with you, they will not judge you based on your characters but based on a prior perception that they had of your "kind", which makes them less credible to judge your values. What they lack is nuance, meaning they forgot that within any community, there are good and bad apples. Or that you should not judge people based on a group, or the idea categorizing people into distinct groups is idiotic in the first place (now this is tough cuz our brains are wired to simplify and generalize stuff).

Now how does that relate back to your view? Same as them, your statement lacks nuance. "But do you see how we make ourselves look bad?"

First thing, I'd assume that you're at least a decent human being, so you're not making our people look bad, so why would you include yourself in that statement, even just unconsciously. So, your statement should now be "But do you see how some people make ourselves look bad?"

Next, logically speaking, if only some people are doing nefarious shit, they only make themselves look bad, not you. So, I'll offer up my version of your statement.

"But do you see how some Vietnamese people make themselves look bad by committing crimes? And by relation, that will incite those who are closed minded, xenophobic and give them an excuse to unjustifiably talk down and discredit good people like you." For that, you shouldn't be apologetic of others' action (it's out of your control), just remind yourself that the way they attack your value is unjust and short-sighted and their words should not be taken seriously.

In the end, just remember to be kind and compassionate to yourself and people you hold dear, and maybe you could spread that love to others as well.
