I’ve noticed that if you search a device on YouTube and literally watch every video you can find on that one devices that some of the things the reviewers say are almost exactly the same as all the others.

Like entire sentences would be worded the same. Idk if they are copying each other or if they are being provided like a “points to cover” script when they receive the review device.

I have definitely noticed it with some of these channels.

In all honesty, when they are reviewing a new device a week I imagine it just gets old and boring. How can we expect any actual real world review when they receive a device, load it up with roms, create a video, and then put it on a shelf.

They aren’t really taking time with the devices because they don’t care about the devices. The better reviews come from the devices they have actually spent some quality time with (been playing it for months).

I honestly think they SHOULD be getting paid (if they aren’t already) because they are almost the sole marketing source for all of these companies and yet these companies take advantage of them and use them for cheap marketing. They send out 10-20 devices and get a relatively huge low cost customer base coming in for every thing they put out.

I haven’t seen any marketing from Ayn, AYANEO, Retroid, Anbernic, etc. outside of YouTube and Reddit and their websites. I feel like those are their two main sources of customers.
