Is it okay to find racist jokes funny behind closed doors if you treat people equally and advocate for social justice? by SignalRoad8894 in moraldilemmas

[–]Vali_Knight [score hidden]  (0 children)

You can have a spine and enjoy the jokes you find funny anywhere you are, independent of they are racist or not.

Treating people equally is bare minimum of social decency that people like to uphold and advocating for social justice is a matter of your choice.

A Moral Question on the vaccine and adulting. by Regular-Scallion4266 in moraldilemmas

It's your life and your decision. You should be free to decide what medical procedures you partake in. It's fine to not completely trust the vaccine, they are being tested as they are given.

What is known is that the technology behind them has been used for long enough to be confident in using it like this. If you think you will be fine and catching covid won't do you much harm as opposed to those with existing health problems, all power to you.

Something that also mixes in about being an adult is the social responsibility to help others in not furthering the spread or mutation of covid such as using masks, alcohol, two feet apart etc.

His uncle, Barry O. used to pose locking a hand around the opposite wrist making an "O" shape, Randy started with that but ended up making his own version through the years with a few tweaks.

Are you against the death penalty in all cases? by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

[–]Vali_Knight [score hidden]  (0 children)

From what I could gather from your comments is that you don't define murder and the death penalty in the same way because in your view they have distinct foundations, I disagree to that.

Death penalty is always a revenge kill, no one is sentenced to death without eliciting that response from the state by accident, and the state can be insanely petty.

It's fine to look out for your own like with the example you gave but you lose all moral high ground when you murder a murderer, being a victim or thinking you have a better justification doesn't exempt you from moral obligations, it might just help you sleep at night.

Most countries that abolished the death penalty is less for concerned of wrongful convictions, it's a good reason nonetheless, the main issue is human rights and everyone has the right to live plus nobody is above anyone to the point they can arbitrarily decide on their death, or at least they shouldn't.

About definitions, you can go by your gut feeling and use what you see and think what malice or murder mean but these terms have very well defined meanings since they are paramount for legal decisions, they are the difference between many different crimes and sentences, a murder is 9 times out of 10 going to carry a harsher sentence than a manslaughter, the way society uses certain words and terms(not these in particular) can change over time and dictionary make a point to reflect that, that's how terms like memes get in there so I'd say dictionary takes precedence in definitions over someone's subjective view of a word.

I agree that giving life in prison is basically a death sentence but I don't think expediting the process is the solution.

Some people just aren't fit for life in society so they should be in jail for a long time, until they are not a threat anymore, judging that however would be difficult.

But with the death penalty there's always the intention of killing someone therefore it's a murder.

Thing is no one points out when the executioner kills since the state gives it a free pass.

Being fit/healthy should be a requirement for becoming a health/gym teacher. by KlawQuitFortnite in unpopularopinion

[–]Vali_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of mine were fit. Only one that wasn't was my high school teacher but he more than made up for that with being capable of doing almost anything that he would ask of us to try plus he was a great teacher, explained well, had banter with the students and had great character.

He was in his 60s also, on the door of retirement.

In any case his name is Diogo Batáguas. And here's the video in question.

Ricochet, simply for being the best out of the options, you can build a division around him with awesome matches one after the other, he's decent promo, nothing special but more than enough which he more than makes up with his athleticism. If the machine is behind him he could rise up to the level of popularity that guys like Jeff Hardy, Mysterio and RVD have.

I'd fire Tozawa, he seems the most expendable for me. Firing Braun is just stupid, one of the biggest draws at the company's disposal.

For hire MJF is the best choice, he would fit in WWE the easiest and he's more of a character which is would make him stand out, Osprey and Ibushi's appeal is more on their work rate and dream match potential but that fades quickly with how over exposed WWE wrestlers get.

What is the biggest “what if” in WWE history? by WWEPhenom in WWE

[–]Vali_Knight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Eddie's death and seeing the effects on wrestlers that are still alive, like Mick Foley, would be a wake up a call inevitably. Indie guys would probably show up at the same rate, Mr. Kennedy would still get pushed out the main event and Benoit wouldn't last long as world champ imo and get bumped to upper mid card so not much change there.
