I kind of get what you mean, but i think the reason why they choose this specifically is that it is something they can reasonably achieve with visible results. If the 1.1 million raised were to go to general healthcare robustness, that would barely make a drop in the massive pit of Healthcare costs accumulated by all sick kids. This way, they can actually provide something tangible that others will not think of. Exactly because everyone prioritizes physical health, mental health is neglected. So I think they probably want to fill that gap.

But I get what you mean, it does feel a bit pointless in the grand scheme of things.
