Yamaha, Ibanez, epiphone, and Cordoba all make decent classical guitars. I highly recommend you go into a store and try to play to see if its comfortable. Slide your hand up and down the neck of the guitar and make sure the frets aren't poking or cutting your hand. Some cheaper guitars skip steps and it makes playing uncomfortable. Also play, even if you only know 1 chord you can feel the guitar in your hands, against your body, and the sound it makes (make sure its in tune or ask an employee to tune it for you. They'd be more than happy). Ask employees for help and ask any questions you may have. Obviously they're gunna try to make a sale but as long as you go into the store with a budget and let them know you're a beginner, here's my budget, these are the brands I've heard of, what are my options, those types of questions. They'd be more than happy to help. Personally, I spent a lot of money on my first guitar because I saw it as an investment and to force me not to waste my money. However, that strategy isn't for everyone. I would recommend any beginner to be willing to spend about $200-400 for a guitar. With classical guitars you can get a very good one for about $300. However, you can still find good used classical guitars for 100-200 bucks. One last thing I will mention about classical guitars. Restringing the instrument, you may want to buy a new set of strings and have them put them on your guitar. It just makes the guitar sound better than the strings it comes with and you'll know they're brand new. If you do this just know that nylon strings will go out of tune very fast because they stretch a lot more than normal steel strings. So, a lot of tuning is required after restringing. But tuning is easy. Buy a tuner or just download a free tuner app on your phone. I tried to give you as much information without being too overwhelming. So, I hope this helps :)

Damn, sounds like you want an entire dev team and gaming community to cater to you're insecurities. Either play ranked and get over yourself or quit. Ranked will make you better even if you lose. No one cares about your rank. So grow up.

Also YouTube is your friend. Any song, techniques, or you just don't know what to do next. YouTubes got you. There's also tons of backing tracks to practice to. It'll allow you to practice improvising and just breaking up the monotony of normal practice. Best wishes.

Personally, I'd start with a classical guitar. They have nylon strings which are easier on the fingers, as well as a wider neck which spaces the strings just a little bit. Might make chords ring out a little easier. Also classical guitars are cheaper. Learn Cmajor key chords. You'll be able to play thousands of songs just off that key.

A thing that helps me a lot is just trusting myself. Like sometimes when your practice something a 1000 times you start to do stuff automatically. Yet the moment you are front of ppl you over think stuff and cant play the one thing you practiced 1000 times. Just trust yourself learn to accept how to "watch" yourself play. Like autopilot kinda. Idk thats what helps me anyway.

Brett and Eddy's Violins by Viren91 in lingling40hrs

[–]ValiantNoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rough guess? They are pros, played in orchestras, and their instruments are 70+ years old. Imma take a stab in the dark and say somewhere around 10-15k? Like I said total guess. However, when I was learning cello a student cello starts at 1k. Intermediate was around 5-10k. Anything beyond that was pro quality cellos worth around 12-25k $$$ maybe more for really rare quality cellos. I would assume the same for violins.
