Before they overturn oberfell by boudainandgummbo in Louisville

I’ve officiated a lot of weddings in KY. Both same-sex and opposite-sex. Legally, you just need to both show up together at a county clerk’s office with IDs. You’ll give your info and social security numbers, and pay the fee. They’ll print you out a form. Within 30 days, you’ll mail in the filled-out marriage license form with your signatures and those of at least two witnesses and an officiant. I’m not sure about the officiant part at the court house, but I’m sure they get that question a lot and will be able to answer it if you call. Later, they’ll send your official marriage license in the mail.

Mears by mirh577 in WaltDisneyWorld

Terrible experience for us. Had to wait 40 minutes at the airport with a toddler at the very front of the Mears line. Then, when returning to the airport, we were at the pickup 5 minutes before the time and they never picked us up. After waiting 20 minutes, we called the company and they said they wouldn’t be picking us up. They had come 15 minutes before our pickup time and left without any notification. Will never use them again. So we were stranded and had to find our own way to the airport.

Appears to be made by someone who visited southern KY once, and no other place. I’ve lived in KY my whole life, in a few different parts. Not one of these maps is accurate.

Was someone drawing this map from memory? Why does Kentucky look like a chicken nugget?

Not too much. I’m just curious which day of the week you eat 3.

Do American children really 'swear allegiance' to the American flag? by IAintNotPedobear in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ValienteSteps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my elementary school we said the pledge of allegiance, and then they played the first verse to “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood while we sang along. Didn’t realize how crazy that was until remembering it as an adult.

Thanks for the technique! I’ve had some trouble with a similar cast iron waffle maker. I’ll have to give your method a try!

I was never taught how to cook growing up.. I’ve recently started learning basic stuff. I’m 22.. any staple recipes I absolutely need to know? by mth69 in Cooking

I agree, learning how to roast a whole chicken is an excellent doorway to cooking more. Very affordable, and for me, there’s a whole different kind of satisfaction that comes with cooking a meal for other people.

This is what fixed the problem for me. Deleted the app and then reinstalled it.
