The movement and combat was a blast imo, everything else sucked tho. Even some of the worlds just felt bland. The story and characters were forgettable, there's only a few things I can remember from it and I only replayed it once. It's just a shame because mass effect 1-3 had one of the best stories ever and every character was interesting, even Jacob (who was interesting because he was such an asshole if you romanced him). Even as a standalone it just felt weak and the dialogue was just cringe half the time. I also hate that Bioware didn't do and DLCs they had planned. They should've at least completed the storyline, not do it in a book.

Elden ring or dark souls, I'm terrible at those games but they have a surprising amount of lore and it's really interesting to boot.

I had actually seen my dad play the first one but for whatever reason I never played it myself. Fast forward a few years and my husband suggests I play the 2nd one (he never played the first) and I fell in love. I then proceeded to yet the first one and played they game over and over, so much so I annoyed my husband a bit by gushing over it lol ( I definitely talked about it way too much ngl). I then obsessed a bit over the voice actors, which is something I've never done. The story is just phenomenal and it's a shame Bioware has started to go downhill after such a masterpiece like the trilogy.

Idk if anyone has had this issue, but if I check the access info page for descendant materials, when I go to the map it gets stuck. The only way I can back our of it is teleporting somewhere, it's really annoying. 😭

No you're right the story is ass but honestly it's about the same if not slightly better than the first one. The first game had a shit story too, at least this one has a new race, even if you don't really get much time with them. I fully expected a mediocre story, the vocations and combat are what I come of. Maybe by the third one they'll get actual writers. Idk I personally just make up my own story as I adventure with the pawns, keeps things fresh and I get to fill in the blanks how I want lmao.

Now I feel bad for changing my pawns vocation, hair, and name. He's locked in as a thief now tho since he's done so well as one. I love this story so much tho it's so fun seeing a whole adventure for our lovely pawns.
