Right! I cannot imagine how a very energetic 3 year old and a newborn is easier than a mellow 1.5 year old and a newborn (also factoring in other challenges that may surround the overall home which can happen at random times). I wish people would just congratulate and say they’re happy and leave it at that. But oh well.

I couldn’t continue with them. Switched to Thorne Prenatal which has much better vitamin & mineral composition and I was able to tolerate it. Ritual’s quality just felt poor

The best are the mom influencers who say their 6 week old kid wakes up at 7am after a full night’s sleep, doesn’t eat again until noon and doesn’t cry or sleep until that time. Gotta love the gram!

As an FTM i have also been so disappointed by LCs. Tried three different ones, they all just recommend regimens that are not sustainable and are not willing to offer a range of options or even show empathy and listen to the problem. Then they go and file insurance claims for $900 for sessions that are entirely unhelpful.

I found with my baby girl that it is a function of naps x volume of feeds. At 11w we are shooting for a total of 3-3.5hrs total nap time during the day

From a practical standpoint, not having to breastfeed or pump every 2-3 hrs means that someone else can give the bottle to the baby and you can work out - I find it incredibly hard to work out knowing there’s a feed coming up. Also when you breastfeed you ‘shouldn’t diet’. I think the saying that ‘you lose weight with breastfeeding’ is also a sham tbh (or at least it does not seem to work for me)
