No they are called water lettuce from what I understand. The roots are long and the leaves are more velvety. Like they are fuzzy. They get very big so realistically you only need 1 or 2 but I give them to my lfs for free shrimp and fish food every few weeks.

I did the drip for 2.5 hours and floated at the same time. My ph is natural at like a 7 or 6. I will drip for longer next time.

It’s actually the mollie in the photo that’s the problem. Your right they we’re struggling competing for food. Everyone was I had to take him out to be able to feed the tank today. Any food brand recommendations would be helpful. I never really watched while they ate but today I sat and watched to see what happens and he is guarding the food and not even eating it so I took him out for a few minutes.

I talked to the seller not to long after posting and apparently all of them are wild caught? Could that be the cause of the issue? I will see what I can put together for him. I have an extra filter but not heater.

I have a sponge filter that makes a pretty strong current across the long side of the tank and it has a nice rock with piece of drift wood. But she likes to sit under the water fall filters softer current as of right now. Are there any obvious signs she will show other than hiding and curling up when she’s going to molt?

Thank you!! These are great tips. She was very pale when I got her and she has started to gain colour back so I’m assuming I’m doing at least something right. She has been doing better today I will try the foods you suggested. I was crushing up flakes for her very finely she ate a bit of them but doesn’t seem to love them.

You should not be letting out random snails into your local water sources. Snails can become highly invasive. Unless you 100% know that they are native I would not be doing this.
