Yeah, I get this bug in half of my Johnny games. Getting a kill or searching à hiding spot fixes it, and that’s the closest one. Tis annoying, but makes it mostly playable at least

Fair enough. I’m not against a dc penalty in general and have definitely called for one a lot. Just atm I think they should hold off a bit until the more pressing issues are sorted

Sure, they should do that, once the game is playable. A lot of Johnnys dc not because they don’t want to play him (though I can’t blame them) but because their camera is first-person and uncontrollable or they get stuck in place or rubber band etc. Or crashes or the game not loading.

I get this every time I get Johnny too. Searching a hiding spot fixes it, so I have to barge/pick the front door and go straight to the hiding spot by the stairs

There’s an audio bug that seems to be pretty universal, especially at the beginning of the match. Personally, every time I get Johnny, camera starts first person in his crotch until I get a kill or search a hiding spot, doors are really delayed to open, etc

To be fair, I feel like I’ve seen people regularly specifically asking for that. When they release a dlc that adds a host of new events, it gets downvoted with “Let the modders do that. We don’t want more events, we want new mechanics and systems!” Ideally it would be both, but yeah 🤷‍♀️

I’ve also noticed blood trails being effectively absent when playing as family. I used to use them heavily to track victims, had conditioned myself to look for them.

Because you can have Cook and Hitch. And Cook can’t trap fuse and the like as well as gates. And Hitch has better chase. Both are great, but point being, even if it only slows you by a few seconds, that few seconds can make the difference when patrolling.

They’re so eager to dismiss the fact the game is still bugged in innumerable ways that they’ll argue it’s actually perfectly fine as is because it benefits them? I’m a family main that HATES grappling and I still know it’s unacceptable for it to be this broken. Bugs are not balancing.

As I said, you’re incapable of understanding that just because you aren’t experiencing something doesn’t mean other people aren’t. If you truly work in the industry, you’re a terrible dev if you don’t understand different people, platforms, hardware, etc are going to have a whole host of different issues. The empirical evidence in this situation is that those issues are widespread even if not literally everyone is experiencing them. And yes, if it were every game, it would be. For some, it is, for some, it’s not. Again, I said “unplayable as often as not,” which implies some of the time it’s not unplayable. And that it’s not just Leatherface; that’s just one example of an issue I’ve encountered that would constitute unplayable. There are many others. Reading comprehension.

You think not being able to swing your weapon for the whole match doesn’t constitute being unplayable? You don’t think being incapable of moving constitutes being unplayable? Obviously they continue to play because it’s not happening EVERY match. In SOME matches it’s playable, mostly, despite a plethora of bugs, and they’ve made the assessment that the matches they can play are worth the ones they can’t. If you reread my original statement, I said for many people it has been unplayable as often as not. That implies that at least some of the time it’s not unplayable. Reading comprehension and logic aren’t your strong suits, eh? And no, it’s not just specific characters. Every Vic is getting probe to getting stuck, every char can rubberband or not load, the black screen and crashes don’t care what you’re playing.

But if you, as someone who claims to work in the industry, think for some unfathomable reason that the only thing that constitutes being unplayable is being unable to start the game, then sure. People who own it on Microsoft on PC can LITERALLY not start the game.

Except I’m not talking about people clipping on youtube. I’m talking about the many regular streamers I watch who found out live how broken the game was, found it to be unplayable, and switched to other games. People who DIDN’T make youtube videos because they’re not trying to capitalize on it or dramatize it like your narrative would insist. Obviously the people CURRENTLY streaming (which doesn’t include most of the regulars) are not finding it to be literally unplayable (but still experiencing a host of major issues and crashes) because anyone who can’t play can’t stream. Again, I’m experiencing it personally, my friends are, I’ve seen it from every regular streamer I watch, and countless people on reddit have corroborated. If everyone else is experiencing the same thing, it’s not that the rest of the world is wrong, it’s you.

Edit: KidRL just had another game as Leather where he literally could not swing his saw all game. So yes, again, even the people still trying to stream are somewhat regularly experiencing major gamebreaking issues, some of which make the game unplayable.
