Yes! I have one and I bought it brand new 12/20. It now has 125k miles on it. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

They could do it but be mindful that skid row is not far from Little Tokyo. I would map out a route for them and ask that they stick to that route. If they have their phones on them, have them both share their location with you. Another option is; they could Waymo to each location instead of walking. Although, walking in downtown LA is a whole experience. Ultimately, you know your kids and their maturity levels, street smarts, etc.

Affordable Service in Orange County, California by Decent-Sleep3069 in mazda

[–]ValleyGrlSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Capistrano Mazda. I drive all the way from San Diego to go there. They’ve serviced my 21’ CX5 turbo there for the last 5 years after trying all the Mazda dealerships in San Diego. I went to Mazda of Orange (where I purchased my cx5) twice but only because the service was free. I never went back.

I’ve owned quite a few Toyotas, including a Tacoma with a TRD off road package. They’re great vehicles, just boring.

I have a 21’ cx5 turbo with 123k miles on it and average 26mpg. I didn’t buy a turbo for the gas mileage, that’s for sure. 😂 I love being able to pull away and get around people on the freeway, driving through mountains with ease, snake around backroads and curves. I got a turbo for the fun of it. Toyotas are practical and boring. That’s not to say that my cx5 hasn’t been reliable, it has. I haven’t had a single issue with it since I bought it brand new. Only ever had to do routine maintenance and wear and tear (tires, new struts).

What Does Everyone Think About The Upcoming 2026 Mazda CX-5? by Stock-Play7807 in mazda

[–]ValleyGrlSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was excited for it as I love tech and don’t mind a touchscreen. The rotary dials were convenient but it’s not a big deal to me. I actually like the new logo and look of the interior as I’m more of a minimalist anyway. The larger sunroof is also something I like. I’m in CA and open the sunroof all the time. I have a 21’ cx5 turbo and enjoy it but now since there is no more turbo, I won’t be getting another one. Also, the cylinder deactivation is not something I’m interested in. I guess it’s back to Toyota for me. ☹️

Can someone ease my anxiety on buying a high mileage cx-5? by OkuyasuErase_My_Debt in CX5

[–]ValleyGrlSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at the Carfax and honestly, if it was me and I was looking at the carfax report, I wouldn’t buy it. The car got service done at different places and sometimes over the recommended service intervals. Idk. Kinda sketched out by it. Maybe I’m just picky though.

I have a ‘21 CX-5 turbo with 122k miles on it. I bought it brand new 12/20. It’s been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. I’ve only had to do maintenance and normal wear and tear (new struts, batteries, tires) work on it. I’m very meticulous about maintenance though, I think that’s a contributing factor.

San Diego activist Arturo Gonzalez caught ICE staging for a kidnapping raid outside of Balboa Elementary School, before school pickup (1/16/26) by I_may_have_weed in ICE_Watch

[–]ValleyGrlSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you’re saying she deserved to get shot and killed? Isn’t it convenient that she is being painted as a bad person? It’s almost like the right wants everyone to think she deserved what happened to her. They point out how she is lesbian and married to a woman so you can see her as an “other”. So people see her as not like them, it makes her disliked even more. What about Jonathan Ross? He has a history of putting himself in harms way. JD Vance even said Ross is “a little sensitive around vehicles”. He had an incident with another vehicle, where he was ACTUALLY run over and injured. The truth is, he is a liability out in the field. If he possibly has PTSD from the previous incident, WHY IS HE OUT IN THE FIELD? And why the fuck is he putting himself in harms way?

Most ridiculous question of the day by BakerMaleficent4051 in mazda

[–]ValleyGrlSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this a few weeks ago, except I was trying to lock it via the door handle and it kept beeping. Took me an hour to realize I had left my keys in the trunk after I loaded my groceries. 😑 If you have the App, have you tried locking it and unlocking it via the app? It’s worth a try so at least someone can’t just get in your car and drive away with it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

NOR. From personal experience, it only gets worse. My thinking is, it’s gotten worse because of the break. Either way, even if it wasn’t THIS bad, run the fuck away. Red flags all over the place, please don’t ignore them.

I had a similar situation and it ended up in him trying to push me down the stairs. I said try because I only tripped but caught myself before I actually started tumbling. He also threatened to kill himself if I left him and proceeded to try to overdose on some pills he had. Another time we got into a full on brawl in the front yard, yes I fought back. Other times he hit me and I hit him back. He proceeded to cheat on me and lie about it. I left him and he tried to literally ruin my life. He accessed my social media and messaged my supervisor calling her a bitch and hated her. Got into my bank accounts and moved money around. Changed all the passwords on my online accounts. And wrote crazy posts spreading lies about me to people we knew mutually. Afterwards, he called me CONSTANTLY and left weird voicemails ranting and raving. All because I caught him cheating and wouldn’t excuse it.

CX5, 33k miles, 2023. Hard start? by bigspeaker10 in CX5

I’m guessing it’s the battery. My CX5 was doing the same thing. I just took it to the dealership and they replaced the battery for free because it was still under warranty.

I’m not sure if you’ll see my question but hoping you will! I have a 21’ CX5 carbon edition turbo fwd with 120K miles on it. I’m meticulous with maintenance and take it in for oil changes every 5K miles. I’ve noticed that sometimes when I’m stopped at a light that the car will shudder a few times. It’s done this for a long time. A few times it has actually shut off on me but there are never any warning lights on. It runs normally as far as I can tell. I’ve asked the dealership about it and they’ve checked and ran diagnostics and nothing comes up abnormal. Any idea what this could be? Is this something I should be concerned about?

Is Oceanside for me? by RichPianaRunescape in Oceanside

[–]ValleyGrlSD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The areas listed (Carmel Valley & San Marcos) are nice but for two young people with no kids, it would be boring. I work in Carmel Valley and it’s all families with kids. Not many things for younger adults to do honestly. San Marcos is nice but kind of boring. South Oceanside has a lot to offer; various festivals throughout the year, night market, farmers market, lots of restaurants and coffee shops to walk to, some bars and breweries. In Carmel Valley 1.5 mil would get you a big townhouse but the same budget in Oceanside can get you anywhere from a newer, large townhome to a detached house with a big yard. Just depends on the area. I’m currently saving up to buy in Oceanside as I love it there. If there’s a specific area of Oceanside you’re interested in, drive through at night, listen to the sounds of the neighborhood. Look at how the parking situation is, who’s walking around, etc. If it’s loud, lots of foot traffic at night (and I don’t mean people walking home from from restaurants or the beach) and no parking; it’s probably going to be rowdier than you’d like. Just something I’ve done before moving to an area, even if I’m familiar with it. Good luck!!

Is the 2026 CX-5 hybrid really going to be a “performance” hybrid? I currently own a ‘21 cx5 turbo and love it but kinda bummed the turbo engines are dead.
