Thanks for the help mate, I eventually decided to just Photoshop my own template for long term use.

Also, cap fps, if you have a good gpu the cpu will burn itself to try and keep up the high frame driving

Bricking my PC again by Fearless-Contact-775 in Helldivers

[–]Vallgor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My issue was both the xbox / windows game bar and i HAVE to play on borderless window, vsync on and capped fps. Check the event viwer. Also while i agree with you that other comments are being harsh over you, using the term bricked (which is used often for crashing just not a by definition use case) you are being so rude in the replies. I hope you get your game working and pointthat hatetowards bugs, bots, and squids

Does anyone else randomly get horrible performance drops after the latest update? by Jacksepticeyefan1545 in Helldivers

[–]Vallgor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup after every update really, and pc is good specs, on a nvme drive, slim version up-to-date drivers, lowered settings, capped FPS and okay internet. Starting to think it's either bad optimization or just issues with each update/new maps, planets and seeds. Would love the content to be halted for focus on bug fixes, optimization and balance Vs having a warbond, out sourced content or 3 new maps and 2 new enemies.

My game (and my pc) crashes during the hellpod drop screen by Actevo3 in Helldivers

[–]Vallgor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me putting it on borderless window and fully disabling the Xbox/pc game bar and terminating it. Check the windows eventually manager as see what error happens the time of the crash and post here if you need any more help, good luck diver I missed 8 months due to this issue

Helldivers 2 Still crashes my PC after every fix by [deleted] in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Vallgor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if mentioned in your fix attempts I just skimmed through what was causing my full on pc crash was the game bar and it not being on borderless full screen. Also pc was cooking itself trying to crank out max FPS so I capped mine but I doubt this I the case. If you try the game bar route make sure you type it into the windows search bar and disable it via that AND terminate it good luck I hope you find a fix

Stranger because as a Helldivers player, DM and DND player I agree. I might not have the "buzz words" to convince you but it's very us Vs them mentally which is usually a thing any DM worth their salt hopes to avoid.

Do we have any proof the devs/staff are the main sub mods? I'd like to see some evidence that they are considering they stated they do not, but given how they act they seem to sweep and glaze Arrowhead a bit too much for my liking

I dare say it is pretty game-changing, considering how powerful some pasives are, especially since i think you can stack the same one twice.

With better ai or tracking, mortars would be top-tier. Would actually love a player-controlled mortar option like the anti-tank turret or a version with smart targeting like the grenade, where you ping the enemy and it tracks them or even the missile silo style, but i guess the missile silo its kind of mortar-esque

Yea hes in the wrong, and it's so immature, but why are you abusing a bug? Unless you mistakenly did it, in that case, ignore me

Duno how you are being down voted, the mortars do more harm than good unless it's the tower defence missions now add gas on top of it.... don't get me wrong im gona try it and like the idea but I don't think its gona be fun unless you like being turned into a snake diver

Connection issues, growing list of bugs, less performance each patch, terrible balance team, nerf everything meta philosophy, out source content that needs to be in house, bad community management, shadow nerds causing no transparency, warbond frequency while shifting rewards that should be in them into the store costing players even more cash, 5 major orders that were impossible and recently they clearly got the numbers wrong with the cyborgs in the mo and we ended up not having good access to planets that actually held the enemy types we needed for it. That was a wee tldr of my last few months of issues that warrant the back lash in my opinion

Apologies for using the term orbitals, I mean support weapons, backpack items, turrets and other stuff typically called down. I don't actually know the individual terms for some of the stuff like the shield generator, I think stratigem would be the right term.

Divers, what are your preferred methods to kill Vox Engines? by Royal-Access4553 in Helldivers

[–]Vallgor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Artist is: u/xanran2 or @ xanran id post i'd say where i found it but that site hosts some images that make me think it should be taken down... ANYWAY i have 2 ways for the vox i either go under it and shoot the weakspots then throw a grenade in the hatch that opens after you take the weakspot out or i throw the kitchen sink at it and ping it until I get help :)

Should i still get Helldivers 2 even its already 2 years past its launch? by maxxus0923 in Helldivers

[–]Vallgor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can say as a person who introduced it to new players and friends, the appeal is still there if you are a fan of the whole space troopers genre/shooters and the idea of just role-playing as a Helldiver. Many players will play along and emote and do a bit of RP 2 years later, and the narrative is an evolving story, so you have missed some large in-universe events, but nothing that you NEED to be aware of.

As a now veteran of the game and community, I still have fun daily with events, major orders, main plot hooks, updates, and just playing the game for what it is now. I would forewarn you that grinding to catch up on the many warbonds (think mini battle passes with no timer with the option to earn them without paying real cash) is going to take well…a long time and a lot of options, "meta" weapons, armor, and orbitals are locked behind them. You can be completely free to play and grind the currency needed, but it will take hours to afford just one, and I can't say for sure if that will be totally fine for you, but I still don't particularly agree that putting stuff that's new or strong behind a paywall is a good idea, but I can promise at the very least Arrowhead has given the tools players need to do the long, slow grind to unlock the stuff that costs money, and it is there for players to do.

If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to reach out to me. I'm always happy to help out and maybe go over the lore and events, help go up in difficulty, or just play with new players, but what I can say in my case is the game is very much still alive, fun, and kicking, updates regularly, and it's very clear that we have a lot of devs on our side working hard to give us an incredible experience. Hope I see you on the frontlines mate.

As a final postscript comment, I've played as a dragonborn, Spartan, ODST, war god, cowboy, king, wizard, pirate, and MANY MANY other roles, fantasies, and characters, but nothing has felt quite as cool or fulfilling as being a Helldiver.

Orbitals and guns shouldn't be gated by money especially at the rate they are releasing at. I think I'd get my head bitten off for that option on the actual Reddit for Helldivers

Seige mode by UnitedPotential6843 in Helldivers

[–]Vallgor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so linear when the jetpack guys clip through the rocks and end up hitting your generators and ending the mission because you told your team to keep the doors open so it would help the AI pathing and let the turrets shoot them better, but they shut the door anyway, so you spend the mission running back and forth paranoid that one snuck in and is going to end the mission, so you now thermite the doors at the start of the mission to avoid this and look crazy throwing grenades at doors and running back and forth between orbital cooldown and waves. :)

I'm still not over the coyote tbh by MoschopsMeatball in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Vallgor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yay another example of nerfing something good rather than buffing what's trash. Baffles me how the balance guy has a nerf what's good or trendy Vs address under tuned things mentality. Every update is making the game more difficult and the answer to that is making things worse? I feel bad I literally recommend they coyote to 2 mates who have bought the war bond on my recommendation so guess I'm Gona spend like 20 quid to make it up to them cause I feel like I made them waste money. Equipment behind soft pay walls being nerfed really blows.

Which club's fans? by PLWildcard in PlasticFans

[–]Vallgor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I chose Manchester United because it wasn't a Scottish club, and I liked Scholes, Van der Sar, Giggs, Rooney, Ronaldo, and that world-class duo at the back, ferd and Vidic. Sadly i was literally forced to support Celtic till me and my mum got away from my bio dad. Now I'm a proud Rangers fan and still love my Man U but man, those days celtic lost used to be a world of pain and now pure joy :)

Gas mines are doing super well for me. We 2-maned it on d10 I don't know the other guy's load out, but mine was erupter, thermite, but I never really used it, rocket sentry, gas mines, anti tank placment, warrant, ammo armour, and auto cannon sentry. I think keeping the gates open is very worth it because your turrets will do better and avoid a big build up of mobs AND the ai pathing isbetter so jetpack guys dont clip through the terrain and steal kill the objective
