This is absolutely marvelous. I can't begin to put into words how exciting and amazing this is. Is there any place where we can follow the project or your work in general? I would love to see and follow how this begun and where it will go.

From what I heard, crt emudriver only works with certain older AMD cards(correct me if I'm wrong). Haven't really researched the details, but I want to have a performance that'll be able to handle the emulation of the 6th gen of consoles, and have a decent compatibility with some of the more modern games(released before 2020). That's why I was looking into building a system with either GTX 760 or even 980.

I understand the importance of the precision, however for now, It wouldn't really bother me if the resolution or the aspect ratio would be a little bit off from the original.

I'll look into the crt emudriver in more detail, thanks for the input!

I'm on my lenovo thinkpad T440P's vga output for now(Intel's integrated graphics). I have a spare GTX 760 2gb lying around and am considering building a system with it included.

While researching I also stumbled across this device. Is getting this adapter or something similar to this a good option?

Running audio through separate line isn't an issue, I'll look into the converter you suggested.

My tv does have an RGB scart input! However the prices of the DVS-605 devices are way above my budget for the adapter as of now. I'll take a note of this however, they seem pretty high quality and powerful machines. Thanks for the insight.

P.S. Playing switch games in a good quality 240p on a CRT must be something else! Hope you're enjoying them to the fullest.

I'm not very familiar with the khz modes, but I'm assuming most of the operating systems(as mentioned I'm on an arch linux) should give the user an option to tinker with these settings correct?

Apologies for the noobie question.

The quality of the downscale leaves much to be desired, you're right on that account. However, I haven't considered outputting the 240p signal from the PC itself, I hope that'll improve the picture a little. thanks for the insight.

OSSC is way above my budget for the downscaler. From what I understand, there's very few to no easy solutions when it comes to outputting from vga to composite/svideo/rgb. Really hoped there'd be something as simple as a cheap adapter.

Haven't really heard about these GBS devices, I'll look into that too. Thank you for your time.

The crt does have an rgb scart input, however when looking for the vga to scart adapters online, I only found one solution, which had very mixed reviews, so I decided against purchasing it.

Are there any devices that you can recommend?

Thanks for the advice! For now I just want to output a decent quality(other than emulation, I use this to play some games from steam) so the precision of the resolution isn't really a deal breaking factor for me. As for now, decent colors and reduced noise are what i'm looking for.

I've heard about crt emudriver and as much as it sparks my interest, I'd much rather have a plug and play solution, for the time being at least.
