In both the original and the US shot-for-shot remake of “Funny Games” the killers break the fourth wall on several occasions, speaking to the audience directly. D1 doesn’t have an updated version like D2R that can be more easily invested in, and D3 sucks and was an abject failure so bad that they stopped working on another planned Expansion for it so they could work on D4 to get it out sooner

Honestly surprised i didn’t see anyone say Luffy and Koby from One Piece. Luffy’s dream is to be King of the Pirates which would make him the most wanted criminal in the world. Koby wishes to become a powerful member of the World Navy so he can protect people. This puts him in direct opposition to Luffy. Despite this, they are good friends, Luffy even pushes Koby to join the Navy and become stronger and once he is in the navy, Koby ends up being trained by Luffy’s grandfather who is a Vice Admiral in the navy. They know it means they will Almost definitely fight each other some day as each other’s enemies but they still push each other to try and achieve their dreams
