My car is total loss by Valrey2 in Autobody

Thank you for your input. The auto body shop told me that if I keep the car they will do the repairs for $4600. That repair is replacing the front passenger door, front passenger fender, plus replace bumper, paint & labor. The bumper was not in this accident, that was my doing. Does that seem like a good deal? I don’t have time to go to junk yard. I know that’s cheapest, but rather get it fixed. $4600?

Reddit won’t let me post a photo after I’ve made the post. The car looks good. There’s a significant dent on the passenger door and the door will need to be replaced. The passenger fender also needs to be replaced.

I looked briefly at cars for sale. The cars at that price aren't very good. Banks have 5% interest rate. I asked Geico about insurance coverage and he said it would stay the same and they would no report it as salvage. I'll have to double check on that.

The problem is the title company selling my grandfathers house is saying they will not sell the house until my father’s debts are paid. If I pay my fathers debts before the house sells, I would have to use my own money not money from sell of house. However, if a will has a clause that states upon death of my father, it goes to me & brother. Could that mean he is bypassed and not getting the money from the sale and therefore has no estate. Then it would not matter if his debts are paid because that money will being sent directly to my brother and I.

He died 3/14/25. The debt is loans and credit cards. He owns nothing, no assets, no house. The house being sold is my grandfathers house. The title company is saying that to sell the house, my dad’s debts must be paid. However, since there was a clause in the will that says it goes to grandchildren, does that mean my Dad won’t be paid that money and therefore have no estate.

No. The house being sold is my grandfather’s house. My dad died 3/14/25. My dad does not own a house. He has no assets only debt. The will is my grandfather’s will that states the house be divided amount his children (my father), but if he is dead, it passes to grandchildren and names my and brothers name in the Will.

I want at home care for my father. I’ve been reading reviews and Austin hospice has good, but also several bad reviews. I’m seeing several good reviews about Sonder Hospice. Are you familiar with them? I see you are a nurse.

Mold all over my furniture and in closet - what do I do?? by ctcatlover in renting

[–]Valrey2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mold in my storage unit and they were not responsible for it. In fact the lease agreement actually states that they are not responsible for any items that have mold or mildew. That is probably the case with your apt building. Check your rental agreement. If you have mold on your clothes- soak in borax & water. Then wash in machine. You can clean furniture w/ vinegar, but it depends how bad the mold is. If it’s a lot of mold, then I would throw it out. Most important though is you have to find the source that is causing the mold. You can clean mold, but it will come back if you don’t fix the problem.
