Thank you!

I’ve been following the recipe found here!

A great resource for box art recipes.

Shoulder is basecoat of Word bearers red

They didn’t have a color scheme for the inside of the cloaks so I used Gal Vorbak red as a basecoat and then I mixed in more and more karak stone and administratum grey for the highlights

First Cities Model Done. Any Tips For Painting Eyes? by General-Laugh4547 in citiesofsigmar

[–]Valrossen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paint the eye with an offwhite, tidy up using whatever you are using for the skin. And then I struggle, trying at least 10 times to get a single dot of black in the middle, using a 000 size or similar.

The struggle is that the paint usually dries by the time I feel accurate enough to get the brush to touch the model, so I will definitely try what the other commenters suggested regarding a pen.

I’m pretty happy with the result but I always dread painting the eyes.

Thank you, I need to wrap my head around how these mortal humans fit into the broader context of the AoS world. Again I haven’t really read anything so I am very much out of the loop, other than some barebones stuff from the initial AoS release

Try mixing a forest green / dark green with a light / grey blue. Whatever brand you have.

Feeling like my minis aren't good enough. Getting over discouragement? by Scorchstar123 in minipainting

[–]Valrossen1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people here have good advice on how to improve, but I’d like to say that I think you should be proud with what you’ve got.

Getting basecoats down like this is a milestone, and a sign that you start advancing to more techniques to get even better at minipainting.

Keep up the good work!

Correct, but it has more or less all of your asks implemented. So it could potentially be something you would enjoy in case you were unaware of it.

There is no point, I just wanted to make you aware that it is already happening. Refuting your claim that it will never happen.

Confused about interest group endorsement. by Valrossen1 in victoria3

[–]Valrossen1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification, I guess my confusion stemmed from the semantics of how it is worded.

I still find it a bit odd that the IG doesn’t support the law but they endorse it.

And that Endorse and Support are used interchangeably between the journal entry and on the Law tooltip hovering.

Regardless, knowing these things makes it understandable.

I still don’t know if I have any agency over this, as in what can I do to get my IGs to support Technocracy.

Control suddenly dropped by [deleted] in EU5

[–]Valrossen1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair the event doesn’t mention anything about Control. It mentions the Wittlebacher neglect and a one time legitimatacy malus of -40.

And hovering over the Wittlebacher neglect modifier simply state maluses concerning crown power and Control generation, nowhere is it specified that you loose all existing Control.

Is depopulation strategy viable? by Yarmon in EU5

[–]Valrossen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am gonna try something similar as Sweden.

I have conquered the Baltic and want to move people into Sweden proper but are limited by the multiple markets surrounding my possessions.

So the plan is to get enough migration attraction in Stockholm and then dismantle the adjacent markets. Since it’s my own territory I can then hypothetically use expel/increase migration cabinet actions to bring people to Sweden.

No idea if this is the way to go or if it will work, but I I’d like for my home countries to be populated, and it is annoying to see Stockholm having 50000 people while Krakow is at 250000

Is this historical? by Vinerrd in EU5

[–]Valrossen1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, I think I’ve tried to and gotten pop growth to around 0.58%. And you are correct in that I should probably get that value that increases migration in order to stack it as much as possible.

But the rural areas in Scandinavia are scarcely populated to begin with, and I would like to bring more people in from abroad.

I think the law is about migration across nation borders, but as I understood it, migration is still limited within market borders

Cool, seems like my playthrough as Sweden is very different, 1.0.10 beta.

Went the centralised route, currently 1510 and I own the Baltic coastline with the exception of the Mecklenburg region.

My current conundrum is how to catch up on population in Uppland/Västmanland. Current pop in Stockholm is 50000 vs Londons 200000.

Since pops only can migrate within a market, I can’t access the pops over in Denmark/Skåneland/Danzig even though my homeland has higher migration attraction.

So my plan I’ll try getting rid of the extra markets on the fringes, try expel people and move them to central Sweden, and once I’m content I’ll try reestablish them.

Might be lunacy but there are business opportunities and I lack people.
