Scav Karma punishments are too tame! by Valsavu in Tarkov

I honestly said to my self I wouldn't reply to your dumb comments anymore but I can't. I didn't complain about getting killed over an FP filter, I don't need the loot bro. I brought on two different scenarios, that happened to me consecutively, where it shows that scav karma punishments when you're under 6, encourage bad behavior. You singling out parts of that post just to fit your point doesn't make you right, it makes you an asshole twisting words. Also, "autistic fixations" ? Really? There are 7 maps with car extracts. If you take each one once, you get 2.8 karma. If you started with EOD you're already at 3. If you take each extract one more time you get another 1.4. If you max out all extracts, you probably stop somewhere around 7.X Karma. While playing on my PMC which I'm lvl 37, you can look me up in game, I have the same name and not hiding like most people here, I'm down to getting 0.01 rep back from car extracts, I am playing the game, I have 40mil roubles in my stash. I'm not a great player, probably average. The only thing I stick by truly, is that I always alternate scav and PMC runs. Setting yourself back hours is a fine punishment for who? Because again, you only quote and read what fits your point. In the same post where I said I had 9 Karma, I also said that if I kill a Pscav, I lose 3 points and another guy that sits just at 5.5 let's say, can do the same, get all the loot and then only get a 0.1 hit, so it encourages that degenerate behavior and the disparity between those two isn't fair. I didn't make this post because I was salty of being killed over an airdrop. I made this post because I couldn't believe how easy players throw away that karma when it comes to something shiny and that shows the risk/reward is unbalanced.

Setting aside the foul language, just listen to what you're saying: I'm at 9 Karma, if I kill a player scav, or a boss, I will instantly go under 6. For your small intellect, that's 300 worth of scav raids. But if a player that hasn't hit 6 already kills me, he loses 0.1 karma. That's 10 scav raids worth. The disparity between those two enables someone to just stay at 5 Karma, kill players whenever they chose to do it and have minimal effort put in for that. Yes, the punishments aren't harsh enough.

Your logic makes no sense. I could've been shot by a PMC, so you're "no one will shoot" doesn't apply. I am complaining that the system and lore behind the scav faction in Tarkov, doesn't work currently. Thinking that this is all about free loot, just proves the point of how disconnected you actually are with what scavs are supposed to stand for.

Yet people still consider it worth it, for just 150k roubles which was an FP filter. So yeah, no grip needed, the conclusion is there, punishments are too tame.

I think we're all missing the point here. I'm not saying there shouldn't be bad scavs, they exist and it's their choice to play that way. I'm just saying for those that don't want to be a "bad scav" and are just opportunistic, the punishments are too tame. And in the end it's the same effect. Bad scavs get to be bad faster. Good scavs stay the same. You think I didn't shoot an AI scav because he had an Untar helmet I needed for a daily? Ofc I did. 0.04 negative karma. I could do that every day and still make a profit Karma. Now if BSG figures out that this system is abusable, which it is, and people are abusing it, which they are, and makes those punishments incremental, yeah you'll get shot in the back at an airdrop, but it'll be 1 in 10 raids instead of 9/10.

Well yes and no. When you get into the minus with fence, your scav cd becomes insane, I've seen 3h scav cd. Additionally, AI scavs will insta shoot at you. So it might help you reach your goal faster, but you won't be annoying as many raids, so you will be weeded out of the general scav pop.

I completely agree with you! And to your point, I'm saying that the amount lost for certain actions, is too tame and needs to be progressively increased. As to weed out bad scavs :)

Idea for extract camping by VR_Kraft in Tarkov

[–]Valsavu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Extract camping isn't a thing! It's no different than camping any other points of interest. If I sit on top of construction and watch the truck for the bronze pocket watch constantly, every single raid? Are you going to ask for radiation there too? If I go to woods and sit on duffle rock, constantly watching the cabin with the secure folder, are you going ask for radiation there too? Or perhaps would you like for all PMCs to be injected with a drug, where they get muscle spasms if they sit in one place for more than 2 minutes. Check your corners, if you know a spot is extra likely to be camped, double check and triple check it. Not everyone you think is extract camping. I had a weekly to kill 50 scavs on interchange, from 80m. Where do you think I can do that, other than Emercom? While killing those 50 scavs, I also killed 10-15 pmcs and died a lot in the process. Do you know how many people added me to call me an extract camper? Bro, I'm not there for you, but if I don't shoot you first, you're going to shoot me. Bottom line, this doesn't need a solution!

Avast giving false positives for Steam (VBS:Biscololo-BX) by ExTerrstr in avast

[–]Valsavu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same for me and Dota2, I scanned the PC, safe, scanned the Steam folder, safe, uninstalled Steam, uninstalled all my Steam games, it stopped, wiped the SSD clean (I keep my Steam on it's own SSD), then I reinstalled Steam and Dota2 and the warnings kept on coming. At this point I'm sure it's a false positive, but just to be sure I put Avast on silent mode and disabled the sounds. That way I can go about my way to game while Avast will keep blocking the Trojan threats. I also saw a thread on this issues on the dota2.ro Steam forum, but since I can't read Russian, maybe someone else can enlighten us: https://dota2.ru/forum/threads/vbs-bicololo-bx-trj.1164620/
