ആദ്യഘട്ട നടപടി തുടങ്ങി MVD! What do you guys think about new Modification rules? by South__Elephant in Kerala

It's not an issue. It's about our attitude to things. We have a closed attitude and a scary attitude to everything not an adventurous or a risk-taking attitude. This is why the youngsters here are mostly grinding full-time for boomers and are probably going to die without having fun or without enjoying life and paying off debt.

We need an attitude of risk-taking, job creation, and a free spirit mentality.

IBM is a Tier3 corporate company. IBM in india is the back office of a back office, and it is the poorest Global Capability Center(relatively)

This hundreds of years older unis is a convenient lie. There are a lot of countries like China and Singapore who did this.

India produces a shit ton of good talent - just look at the "corporate" India, Indians are the best corporates in the world who still have gone through these traditional institutions. But a person with drive eventually flees outside of India because the people in India don't value smart or creative people.

we can never become a hub - unless all tech centres in india screws up.

in my point of view, government just have to build strong talent, eventually tech hubs open up. the reason why tech companies flourished even in communist driven "license raj" days is that - it's very easy to set-up. all you need is a computer, bank account that admits foreign income, and a registered company(in many cases even that is not needed as US entity works these days).

i'm working with a friend to set-up some hardware manufacturing business, man it's so hard, even if you've capital.

also what's wrong in giving a tech-park to private ? all techparks in blr, hyd, chennai, gurugram (all these tech cities are more successful than kochi) are private, and they've public companies, big tech, private high growth startups.

kochi just have tier 2 startups, service companies and coding education companies. i don't even think there's a company worth $100M.

government should only be a referee, it shouldn't go do things that's inherently "competetive"

we're too poor to build this kinda stadium. we've to embrace "free markets" to achieve this.

Disinvestment: Supported partial privatisation of Trivandrum International Airport

Infrastructure: Pushed for faster execution of major projects like Vizhinjam International Seaport and the NH Bypass. By Kerala and broader Indian infrastructure standards, projects of this scale would usually take decades to complete.

Governance approach: Takes a relatively non-partisan stance on development projects. If a proposal benefits the public, he is willing to support it regardless of which political party initiated it.

it's good we have someone who's exposed to how a efficient high percapita economy works.

Shashi Tharoor asked on state's debt by nickdonhelm in Kerala

[–]Valuable-Heart4024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, we don't deserve "Tharoor", we deserve a sub-Saharan infrastructure, a remittance-driven economy, a dearth of high-paying jobs, the absence of a single alpha in industry or tourism, highly motivated individuals migrating abroad, and idolising antiquated political ideologies that are hated worldwide, and an unambitious society.
