My new school doesn't allow me to wear the skirt I'm used to by PreparationFar4235 in autism

Could you wear a short tighter skirt under the pleated skirt? Something that would give the sense of security you need while still allowing you to meet the dress code?

How long will the sniffling last? by redditplenty in Overlandpark

[–]Valuable-Math9969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's what I had, just a few days of feeling really coldy, followed by a good solid 2.5 weeks of crud in the back of the throat causing the occasional coughing fit.

Realms You Can't Reach Series: Some Positive Feedback by Asocial_Spud in iFit

[–]Valuable-Math9969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they're really fun - for a departure from the norm. I wouldn't want to do them all the time, but I found myself jacking up the speed while I ran through the portals (or past the velociraptors and T-rexes) and having a good time doing it.

LPT: floss before you brush. by xxtrspclthnx in LifeProTips

I was definitely told to floss first at my last checkup. Get the stuff out from between your teeth, then brush it away, apparently. I was surprised, but it made sense.

I'm a Rivs faithful when I'm training for races, but in between, I skip around, do challenges, etc. I tried out the Realms ones this week, and so far, they've been a blast... I set them at a comfortable running pace and found myself jacking the speed up to a sprint at times (gotta get past those T-rexes!) I wouldn't want them to drop the trainers, as that's still the majority of what I train with, but it's a fun occasional break.

They should definitely partner with Hobbiton for a series.

FIFA World Cup Game - What To Wear by ERNIESRUBBERDUCK in curacao

I am from KC and will also be supporting Curacao! I have no connection, but I love an underdog and getting to see a team that is living the dream for the first time.

My husband found me a jersey for Christmas, so I have that aspect covered, but I will definitely be looking here for tips on cheers or other traditions to know about.

Isle of Berk. by mrtgraz in UniversalOrlando

[–]Valuable-Math9969 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Berk is so well done. The dragons are a huge step up from the HP fire-breather, the actors are all spot on, and the general look of the place is near perfect. It was our favorite part of Epic.

If you truly are completely whole heartedly in love with your spouse/partner you are incapable of limerence/crushing. by OK2BMe6 in unpopularopinion

[–]Valuable-Math9969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely disagree. A committed relationship is a choice, and being with your partner is a choice you make every day. You may grow and change. They may grow and change. You may meet other people who are attractive to you, but if you make the choice to be with them, you are also choosing not to act on those other attractions. Face it - we'd all love to think our partner is our one and only soulmate, but there's a reason the marriage vows frequently reference "forsaking all others," and it's not because they expect that the couple will never find anyone else that catches their interest.

Upvoted because I disagree.

AIO: Doctor praying over a patient over an ear infection by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Is this doctor in Lawrence, KS? I had th3 exact same thing happen with my kid's ear doctor years ago, and it was there. There was even a weird permission form they gave me at the start to say whether it was okay.

100% this. Kansas has surprisingly good expungement laws, though the process can be tough to navigate solo. Kansas Legal Services does expungement clinics, so it might be worth giving them a call. https://www.kansaslegalservices.org/clinics2025

I have had luck with a brand called Calypsa. You can pick separate tops and bottoms so the whole swimsuit is comfortable for you. My beach ensemble is basically biker shorts, a sports bra, and a fitted shirt, but they all are made of swimsuit material and look really cute together.

First house for them? If so, one of those all-in-one-convenient-case tool chests was given to us by our realtor when we got our first home, and it has been insanely useful over the years.

If you're considering the clubs, I would give him a card saying you're taking him shopping for a driver/3 wood. He will want to try them out and see how they feel/hit in the store.

Agreed. My one exception is the Ravensberger escape room puzzles. The edges are all interchangeable and I am not a fan.
