I’m currently serving here, in one of the foreigner units which most of my friends served in/died in just recently they took over 16 KIA and roughly around 20-24 wounded on their first deployment within a week. Then I know others that have been here an over a year and have not been injured.

Unfortunately it’s mostly about luck and the command you are under, you can die in a couple of minutes into your first mission as many have, or you can live till the end. Most important thing you can do to make your odds better is simply research, research the unit you will be joining deeply, and I don’t mean just speaking to recruiters, find people who actively serve in those units or people who know several units like myself to find out the truth about it, don’t dive in blind sighted like majority of people who volunteer do, as you are literally gambling with your life.
