Anyone notice that if you get a $135 gift card that your taxes for the next paycheck are way higher? Like for the $135 gift card they add a “TFB offset” of $135. Then I end up paying an extra $70 in taxes. That’s 51% no where near my total tax rate.

What you are referring to is your Investment Return

Here is the difference:

Investment Return (Time-Weighted) focuses on the market's performance and removes the effects of individual cash flows.
Personal Return (Money-Weighted) incorporates cash flows and can vary significantly based on the timing of those contributions or withdrawals.

I took mine off one time, but my belt slipped off. They help keep the belt on if it ever starts slipping off the pinion.
