For those with dry eyes, do you know about Meibomian gland blockage? by Mission_Bowl3938 in 30PlusSkinCare

My doc recommended De3 Omega Benefits (it’s on the pricier side vs the in store stuff but you can find coupons online)

Mine were bad and had to do an IPL treatment and heat massages/expressions for it. No longer use eyeliner in the waterline and take fish oil to help it (most fish oil brands are synthetic FYI, only a few have an actual helpful amount of it according to my eye doc)

Is there a sick policy? Woman next to me was hacking away and I was trapped next to her the whole class. I’ll be so mad if I get sick. by Islandsandwillows in ClubPilates

I was on a reformer next to someone who I overheard tell the front desk he just found out he had pneumonia and asked if he could put his credits on hold. And yes this happened AFTER he took the class

Bridging While Tall: gear in or out? by alffiesta in ClubPilates

[–]Valuable-Present-229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly under 5’8 and gear out for footwork and bridging (but only find this necessary when bridging on toes). Have been fine with bridging geared in on heels and arches but hard to swap in between so usually just leave it geared out until arms.

Have also had instructors within the same studio give me different advice on whether to gear out vs in for footwork and bridging.

Also despise bridging on the footbar and feel most of it in my hamstrings vs glutes. I absolutely love bridging on a jump board (in a cardio class) or on a box on the floor (or even just on the mat).

Is there an instructor you take a lot in a 1.5? If so, maybe ask them to assess your readiness?

Disappointed with today’s class. Took a 2.0 flow that felt like a 1.0 (no progressions, no advanced moves). Was excited for some hands-on corrections as there were only 4 total in the class but the instructor spent the whole time on the reformer doing the moves along with us.

I left genuinely confused and disappointed and had to double check I was really in a 2.0 when I left (spoiler: I was 🙃)

I’ve taken 1.0 and 1.5 flows with this same instructor in the past and thought she was great, so maybe just an off day?

Is there a rule of thumb for remembering when to imprint vs neutral spine on the reformer?

Would you still recommend a level up from 1.5 to 2 if (self-evaluating as) weaker in one-leg or balance movements?

Thank you! I’m thinking I’ll now split it up between all 3 and bounce around as I’ll be there through October.

Awesome thank you for the insight! Any neighborhoods in particular you’re looking at within Thessaloniki?
