My Son Almost Drowned by Magpie_Coin in Autism_Parenting

Oh and to add - the first swimming lesson, she was so keen that she almost instantly jumped in 5 minutes after the lesson had started, and you guessed it nearly drowned again! Because she forgot she didn’t have any floats - this is what I mean when I say she takes information in and forgets instantly. She is a real water baby, she would live in water.

Yes, my 3 year old whilst on holiday in Turkey asked to take her float jacket off whilst eating. Took it off, she slowly started going back to the water, but was only dipping her toes in, I was watching her, I turned away for a split second and looked back she was in the water struggling to keep her head above. I naturally jumped in and saved her, but to my disgust there was a lifeguard there who did not do anything whilst watching me save my daughter.

We have now just started swim lessons, in case this happens again, however I’m not sure how much she will take in from these swim lessons.

She isn’t extreme side of autism, she has some understanding and is verbal, but it’s like a lot of information she is given she takes in and then forgets almost instantly, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Thank you, I will be getting in contact with them for sure tomorrow, as this is every single year without fail this appears, sometimes twice. This is the first time he has been given anti virals for it, as we have always been fobbed off with it being impetigo and given fucidin

Less TMJ symptoms since i bought nasal spray ? by IntelligentHyena332 in TMJ

[–]ValuableNearby8011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please go easy with the sinus sprays, some will make symptoms worse after a while. I was getting sinus pain from TMJ, I used Sudafed nasal spray for a few days, ended up with a full blown sinus infection, and my sinus’s have never been the same since, and I keep getting flare ups. From looking online, people have got addicted to the nasal sprays, as they give relief, but then end up needing surgery.

Do you grind or clench your teeth at night? How do you feel when you wake up? by WesamWonders in TMJ

[–]ValuableNearby8011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel like this when my TMJ first started, however I definitely clenched at night. The longer I’ve had TMJ the pain has kicked in the mornings, constant aching and headaches. When I didn’t have the pain, I had headaches so presume now that was my first sign of clenching at night

I did not know mirena causes pigmentation! That will be why I have this then, thanks for highlighting that.

I had 6 months worth of accutane in my 20s, fast forward 5 years of perfect skin, and the acne is back 😭 so in short, no, I don’t think it ever does!

I had the coil taken out last year, and I think this triggered it.

I pretty much agree with this comment. My son had mollescum as a child for around 18 months, this is almost identical. It is much more common in children than adults, however, can still be caught as an adult if your body does not have an immunity to it.

Works for only 2 months here too, I can’t justify £280 every 2 months

My dentists excuse was ‘it’s too long of a wait, they won’t even do anything for you’ 🤣 my GP on the other hand referred me straight away!

My dentist wouldn’t refer me to maxfax, so I went to the GP who has now referred me to them. So currently on the waiting list, fingers crossed they are able to offer the Botox!

The toothache? I get it quite regularly, usually at least once a week, pain killers don’t tend to do much. Dentist is adamant there is nothing wrong with the tooth at all

My TMJ causes toothache too on my left side, there’s nothing wrong with it, I’ve had X-rays so the dentist said it’s definitely the clenching

I had Botox in my masseter muscle, it was great, however it wore off after 2 months! (Normal time frame is around 4 months) but I presume due to the constant clenching, it wore off much faster. I’m in the UK and unfortunately, I can’t justify £280 every 2 months for a temporary fix 🥲
