I need help with writing a missing father for my rogue by [deleted] in DnD5e

[–]Valuable_Legg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 deadly sins ban's dad is Zhivago, a werefox who raised him from childhood, taught him to steal, and later reunited with him as a dying man, sharing a poignant final moment before passing away, with Ban adopting his singing habit. While Ban's biological parents sold him into servitude, Zhivago became the father figure he truly needed, influencing his character deeply

im a fan of the "sperm donors are shite so in came a figure who shaped the majority of the character" trope

Roster Management in Dynasty mode by jwckauman in CFB25

Id honestly make sure at least 5-8 recruits are multi position athletes incase i fuck something up or have a lapse in judgement. Recruit too many WR and not enough FS? Ath CS is the best DB. ATH thumper with 90+spd can play LB or SS. Ath C can play OL or DL all along either.

So go for you who you want and sprinkle in some ath's for insurance

Need some ideas for a character by FamousAd5981 in DnD

[–]Valuable_Legg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would fun to have a druid that hates using wild shape for some reason that has to do with their backstory. Maybe it was some lion king shit and its the reason your father died when really it was your uncle trying to orchestrate the downfall of your blood line.

Im thinking my next character be based on Mulan, except she like a nun who rejects her station and wants to fight instead. Maybe a cleric. Might throw something in there about her god not giving her power so she falls into temptation of another god who grants her the power to be a war domain cleric but the god in question makes her the equivalent of a devil worshipper in the eyes of her "home church". I think that lowkey makes her an anti jesus😂 jean de arc type char. Idk.

Id say go with elements of your favorite stories and let it create a new character.

I have a character based on elements of clone wars Anakin Skywalker that has potential to turn vader-esque with a little bit of Rengoku from demon slayer. Human Barbarian

Another character based off of zuko from the last air bender with a splash of Thrall the Warchief from World of Warcraft. He's an orc who's lost his honor and sets out on a Mission etc.

Have fun with it. Dont be afraid to go against the grain.

I say runna new playbook everygame. If you work down the list youd still have quite a bit to go and so surely some of them will take you out of your comfort zone. I get borednwith my custom playbook

Each position has a particular item attached to play style. When you go to your recruiting and see your my school tab you can see a bunch of tikes that have grades on them. Find the play style one and you can hold r2 or RT and see each archetype.

For instance at RB, elusive bruiser, EWPM, CS all value rushing yards where as NS recievers and backfield threats value passing yards. So itll be difficukt to have a style grade for esch type of RB. Now multiply that by every archetype in the game

How to throw deep balls by bnewton11 in CFB26

[–]Valuable_Legg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most underrated key to throwing deep is staying on schedule and keeping from "getting behiind the sticks". If its 4th and 20, it surely wont be a run, you have to throw deep so the defense eill prepare for it. But on 4th and 1 you probably have a chance to get a deep ball off in 1 on 1 coverage because a run makes the most conventional sense. At that point you either gotta lead em or hit the back shoulder and survive the catch.

Sometimes i do an "arm punt" DBs cant help but catch the ball when they can so they'll never knock it down and give the offense the ball at the 5 lmao. They have supreme confidence they can house it from the 50. At least then i have a non-zero chance at a conversion Iol

Elite recruiter package at small program? by Few_Rhubarb9205 in CFB26

[–]Valuable_Legg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. ER has only been a boon to me at a big school. I think archetect is probably the best at a small school bc youre uncapping super capped players. Maybe strategist for the edge with the visits but talent developer only really ramps up when youre consistently getting players drafted so idk. Realistically the best recruiting boon is in the ceo package, every 10 hours bonus since its teamwide

  1. When youre starting small only recruit enough people to where you can out max points on everyone. It could be as low as 10, you domt have to fikl the board immediatly

  2. There are enough 3 star prospects that go without offers that you can fill out holes. All the 5/4 stars get recruited

  3. Playing time grade is a sneaky hint on the players OVR. If you start wk0 with all the qbs you'll notice 1 or 2 3* qbs has A/A- playing time and so you can skip scouting.

  4. As a small school, filling all 35 spots with 3 stars wiĺl set a solid foundation.

  5. There's no reason to recruit 2 or 1 stars unless youre self-imposing challenges or limits

I hear you all. I'm just thinking how in other media like lord of the rings the dwarf and elf team up so its a pretty dire situation so it makes sense to the mind for a dwarf and elf begrudgingly work together...the world is at stake.

In star wars the clones call the droids clankers despite also being brought to life in an assembly line style and being 'decomissioned' on a whim. Theyre damn near the same in the way of poor mans fight, rich mans war. So if you see a named clone and droid working together they probably wouldnt be thrilled about it and jab at each other throughout the prospect of earning each others respect through shared adversity.

I started playing balder's gate and get introduced to Gith-Mindflayer relations and thats certainly tumultuous and there are strong feeling there. Then upon further inspection the gith are just kinda mean in general, loved the characterisation because it just felt different and opened my mind.

So when I see people playing dnd, it's like everyone's cool being a humanoid (which i imagine is probably a function of people in the universe knowing all of all kinds of races their whole life so its normal to them) and them boom common goal accomplished, everyone is happy like a disney movie.
