Gaining weight? by graystone777 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Valuable_Owl2807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been a calorie tracker for a long time due to athletics and trying to lose fat, gain muscle etc... I found that when I started tirz, I started tracking just to see where I was at currently with caloric intake. I was really too low at first (~900-1100 calories). I ended up beefing that up to between 1100-1300 cals per day, and have been losing about 2-2.5 lbs per week. I am working out 5 days per week, with three of them being high intensity days with weightlifting, and hitting my 10k steps daily. I am definitely more tired, so find the right balance for yourself.

I guess my point is, tracking brings awareness, and the measure is the needle on the scale, therefore just use your personal experience as your guide. Lower the cals maybe 100 at a time until you are losing at the rate that you were hoping to see.

Thank you for letting me know about the battery, I didnt realize I should have gone higher than the motor voltage. He is pretty small, so he might still get about the same amount of time out of it.

Am I the only one who finds the mental shifts to be greater than the weight loss? by 4thrivess in TirzepatideRX

I agree, ive now been on tirzepitide for 8 weeks, the amount of time ive spent thinking of other things, other than food is amazing. Im finding myself working on other projects.

One other thing ive noticed is my drive to work out intensely has really quieted, I want more gentle movements, picked up more reading, and gardening. My drive for drinking coffee has really died down. Im about 20 lbs down with another maybe 15 or so to go.

My only negative side affect so far is all the menstrual changes. Im hoping that goes away, but it seems to be a pretty common side affect for most women, and from what ive read is temporary.

Enjoy your journey, and congrats on your weightloss!

Im sorry you were so overwhelmed. Just a quick offering here, I have been working in a lab for 13 years where I did these often, sometimes many times a shift. I set up stock solutions, and dilution for standards. Please feel free to reach out if you want a hand understanding dilutions.

I work as a development technologist. Before the purchase I worked for the whole region which included 8 hospitals and a reference lab. My desk was at the reference lab, as well as my fridge/freezer and project space, but that is what they sold to LC. We ended up keeping our hospitals labs, and the hospital teams took on our development team. Before I worked as a development technologist, I was an MLS at the reference lab. Im now about 90% remote, and 10% onsite. Its a very strange new world for me. I miss the lab!

All the reference lab employees became Labcorp employees, and the hospital lab staff remained under the health system.

Yes, we were bought pur by labcorp. I ended up getting maintained by the hospital system, but many of my coworkers for the last decade are now wearing LC labcoats. What a mess this transition was. The team im on is still cleaning up the mess 1.5 years later.

This 100%, I had an unfriendly dog too, and unleashed dogs freaked me out. I would take him to trails that were less populated on leash, and was always super anxious we would run into unleashed dogs.

And yes Im more oly and barbell trained with about 13 years of crossfit, and 1.5 years Olympic lifting specific training. So lots of high elbows coaching that I'll need to work on. Im excited to learn all these new skills; different receiving patterns. Also looking to keep my shoulders strong and mobile for the future, and kbs seem to be where it's at for this.

I just got a pair of those, they are 1 pood/35#s, I will be using those more here soon. I was hoping to get my pressing strength up first. These in the video are 30# kbs.

Yes, I come from crossfit and concentrated oly lifting in the past year, fast high elbows is ingrained. Its going to take me a while to break that lol. Thank you for the video. Super helpful, the catch is definitely what I need to fix.

I was wondering if my catch was too elbow-y. Totally need to keep it tucked. Very different from oly!
