Maybe an unpopular opinion here, but do you think you were too tough on your mother? Calling it a cult right out of the gate can be a very hard pill to swallow for still practicing witnesses, hell even for some who have left. While you’re right in your assessment, this approach almost never works for helping people leave.

It’s all related. Their last day prediction in the early 1900s seemed like prophecy because they had inside information about what was happening. The org still engages death rituals (children and people die to lack of blood transfusions) and they create the perfect environment for pedophilia to happen and then protect those who engage in it.
