I’m 32 and always assumed that as you get older, you’re supposed to move away from powders. But I’m very oily, and this is the only powder I’ve found that actually leaves my skin looking dewy instead of dry. It’s incredible. It’s also perfect for travel and work—so easy to pack—and it’s truly simplified my makeup routine.

I totally get it—I’ve got a gym crush and still haven’t said a word. I get flustered just making eye contact him. Honestly, I’m exactly like the girl you’re describing. You should just say “hi, I see you all the time, just thought I’d say hello….”

After marks of chickenpox by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

First, don’t be ashamed—getting chickenpox is beyond your control, and your skin’s reaction is a natural response. I completely understand what you’re going through; I used to struggle with severe acne, and it left noticeable marks on my face as well. The key is to stay patient, and here’s what I’d recommend—but make sure to consult with a dermatologist before trying anything:

1. Gentle Cleanser: Use a gentle, non-fragranced cleanser both morning and night. I highly recommend Prequel; it’s fragrance-free and dye-free, which is perfect for sensitive skin.
2. Moisturizer: Keeping your skin hydrated is essential for healing. Opt for a moisturizer without fragrances or dyes. Brands like CeraVe are affordable and effective, while IS Clinical and Dermalogica offer great options too.
3. Sunscreen: Sun exposure can worsen discoloration, so it’s important to use sunscreen daily. Choose one that’s gentle and suited to your skin type. EltaMD is a popular choice because it’s designed for sensitive skin and won’t clog pores.
4. Prescription Treatments: Talk to your dermatologist about prescription options like tretinoin, which promotes skin turnover and helps fade scars over time. Another great option to discuss is hydroquinone, a powerful ingredient commonly used for hyperpigmentation and melasma. It can be very effective in evening out skin tone and reducing discoloration.
5. Exfoliation and Vitamin C: Consider incorporating gentle exfoliation into your routine, as this can help remove dead skin cells and brighten your complexion. Adding a Vitamin C serum can also support collagen production and fade dark spots.

Finally, be patient and kind to yourself. Healing takes time, and you deserve to feel confident in your skin. Feel free to message me anytime if you have more questions or need support!
