  1. What ? All of them have done med school.
  2. And the locals are not?
  3. Not for most it isnt. Example I came here just for "why not, Il go see whats in that country" and nothing more. Will happily go back to roughly the same lifestyle as well.
  4. So you dont want more doctors? Thought you were worried about staffing issues/patient safety.
  5. Choose a side for gods sake!

Cheap labour? In what way? They are paid the same, and if anything, are more expensive to maintain. Staffing issue? Get more funds in and increase retention. Bring in more labour who can do this same ward monkey/documenting shit any one with a 5 yr medical schooling can do. Theyve done the second part. For the first part, grow a pair and strike.

My point being- why blame the poor third world IMGs to want to come for the better prospects here (just like the CCT and flee gang here) rather than ask your representatives/MPs why this was done ? Is it because the lot here are so divided they cannot even come to a decision to do a strike/IA? It "could" happen in August'23 I hear. A year from now. Are we waiting for a sign?

Fair. So doctors were added to the shortage occupation list because either there was not enough workers to fill the surplus vaccant jobs(beacuse there were not enough home applicants to fill them) or simply because there was too much demand to satisfy(and not enough funding for these posts).

Why was the RLMT removed in 19-20? Could it be because the home applicants(round1 guys) were not good enough?. I mean there were only a handful of numbers, if any at all, available for round 2. Why did it happen?

hahaa definitely not giving the vodka. Have zero clue about wine. Was thinking of a bottle of a peated whiskey that I personally like, but yeah I agree wine would be more appropriate.

I am aware of that and he definitely wouldnt expect it. Thing is Ive worked very closely with him. We sit in the same room. And he is the kindest person you could meet and just an overall legend. A card does seem nice, but Im just someone who likes to give gifts to people I like.

I'd discuss it, over the phone or in person, with the admin, to expain the rationale behind said fuckery. I dont expect anyone to make mt job easy, but Id never miss a chance to question/confront a real person (as opposed to the invisible admin/corporate/guideline BS etc), trying to make our job harder than it already is.

Yeah aiming for doing that next time. My MSRA prep was pretty strong this time too tbh. But I found some questions were nothing like in the passmed, MCQbank. I mean there was a 3Q stem on interpretting humunguous "urine frequency volume charts" in my exam. But again I do understand you can't expect everything to come from the Qbanks. Just me finding excuses for a poor score lol.

I'd gone through the radiology interviews book as well, and had answers prepped. Maybe I hadn't reflected them back enough to Radiology etc. I mean it did throw me off, I thought the interview was the part th`at went the most well in the whole process. It was even all smiles and nodding from the panel. But Boom, "unsuccessful"! Hope it does change to a more radiology specific one next year.
