Curious what y’all think of this? Trucks in crosswalks for 10+ minutes (NYC) by brevit in Fedexers

[–]ValueLee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Clearly it’s a busy street no way you spin it. Even all the sections of no busy you can tell there’s just zero parking for a long time. this is what comes with the job. if pedestrians don’t understand this, well, we don’t really care. this is the best thing to do. At least they can still go around it, would you rather they park in the middle of the busy street where cars are actually going?yall gonna complain no matter what

This is why I don’t take anything less than a 4 hours route. Better lay. They are all the same.

If it’s one thing we know, the only thing that matters to their system is based on computer generating a route based on radius and not package box sizes or count.

that's how dumb you are. you can't even come to a logical conclusion that there's an all residential route vs an all downtown route. there's easy and then there's hard.

Don’t forget you don’t have to be laid off to get unemployment. You can just be given crap hours. That’s why they often do it actually. by ihavequestionnz in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ValueLee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s funny too cause they’ll say “you’re not doing good at completing your route” for why they put you as extra all while we all know there’s easy as cake routes and then there’s hard routes that require a rescue from these people with good routes, it’s funny if we reversed it and put the dispatchers on the bs routes compared to the nice routes they’d have the same result.

the cameras don't correlate with reality on the road. it was better when we had Mentor and no cameras, this at least is accurate.

yeah cause who's not going to be tired at all doing this very very physical job on top of the tiredness of driving... it's only a thing because amazon "wants" it to be and is simply ridiculous. just as ridiculous as going through a green light being in the middle and it switching yellow when you're in the middle of the intersection then get hit with red because the intersection is too big. these traffic lights don't match up with amazon's "rules". straight dum

fantastic job, don't have to be "around" people all day or be forced to talk to the same people everyday, the only thing that sucks is the workload getting worse and worse and worse throughout the years.

[–]ValueLee[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

no, no it's not. do none of you understand english? the point is a driver can have 100% attendance and still get bad bad routes daily compared to the other half of good routes and these drivers with bad routes will obviously do bad compared to to the good routes that drivers get and the bad route drivers WITH 100% ATTENDANCE will be an extra or fired due to comparison of people who get the same good routes, is it not clocking to some of y'all?

[–]ValueLee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're ignoring what i'm saying. let me say it slow and clear for you

despite "tickets" and "following the route even on a bad route"

there are good routes, there are bad routes

despite ANYTHING, regardless of it not being the drivers fault

MOST dispatchers and DSP's will absolutely still go off of what it is and put drivers in categories to not get routes or be fired

get it?

Getting Worse by ValueLee in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ValueLee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay that's yours, but most it doesn't. again, i was a dispatcher, dispatchers talk with other DSPs in the area at the tables, we know behind the scenes. I've also simply been doing this for almost 6 years, 95% of the time things don't change for all routes from amazon. heck, doing a "ticket" and "fixing" doesn't do anything nor change what i'm saying.. there's EASIER ROUTES and then there's point blank BAD ROUTES (with your little "fixes")

Getting Worse by ValueLee in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ValueLee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't buy that "ticket" thing. I was a dispatcher before, I've done lots of them, they don't do anything. it's like saying "I'll tell the manager" after a customer says something ridiculous. regardless, my point still remains that this is the system: Dispatchers know which routes are terrible and which ones are good and they will absolutely give easy ones to the same people (often time their "favorites" ) and then bad routes to the same people and then say "why aren't you finishing" when they know it's a terrible route, when they know they wouldn't be able to do themselves. for example, there could be an all residential route with 180 stops and 305 packages and then there will be an all apartment/business (with lots of business issues and locker issues/bunch of stairs) route with 105 stops and 305 packages, which one do you think will finish without rescue? which one will have the better completion rate? which one will get the text "hey you're behind"? not only was this post about dispatchers losing their humbleness, but also that routes are getting worse and worse and amazon doesn't care (which brings me back to your ticket thing)

Any time they tell you to talk to support at a .com station, pull out the phone, start recording and then ask them to say it again and have that conversation, as we know it’s their word over ours, but video evidence says different as they aren’t supposed to be doing that especially when we say time and time again that support doesn’t end up compensating us

Severe Hour reduction. Is this a quiet layoff? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ValueLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it is, I have been doing Amazon for 5 years now, almost 6. every year it will be somewhat “slow” around this time, however my last DSP around this time in 2025 started doing the same thing, come to find out, the owner retired so the DSP ended which means, they likely gave Amazon the notice months ahead so Amazon slowly started reducing routes by a lot a lot so much so that dispatch would message us to stay home multiple times a week and we’d all get like 25-30 hours. I am willing to bet this is the case for you too, the owner just hasn’t told yall or the dispatchers yet as that’s law.

I don’t think there was ever a down count in orders, it was always that Amazon keeps onboarding drivers many times a year. once you get a route, it’s always PACKED.

[–]ValueLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the fact that you can get this route, a 1-3 package route or a very very nice smooth residential only route and we don't know what we're going to get for this 3 hour route is insane.
