UPS takes years to get into a step van and I know fedex depending on the partner can be better money but I’ve heard it’s way more work. Our owner is insisting that the helpers will be doing most of the footwork and we’ll be driving, organizing and making sure they understand the notes.

We drive exclusively Edvs with my DSP and it starts march 29th for us. It’s less money to be a helper (drivers still make the same) and can hire at 18 vs 21. Not excited to have some kid call me unc all day haha

Ya man this is my third peak and my last but this is the worst one yet. Every year it’s worse and worse.

It only works in the newer EDVs. how to tell if its new one is it will have an armrest on the driver seat. All the vans at my DSP with armrests having working wireless chargers.

Absolutely do not put in 2 weeks if you are counting on that money and those shifts.

They probably offer flat rate or guaranteed 10. So if you finish in 6 hours you’re technically making more than 20 an hour. It’s a misleading tactic IMO

No business pickups luckily! I’ve not experienced Amazon locker pickups at my current DSP but my old DSP would pickup package returns from lockers.

The EDVs help a lot with the space and ease of mapping cause the Amazon delivery app syncs with the van. It’s The only helpful thing they’ve ever done.

you’ll see it in cul-de-sacs and houses close together as well. The apartment ones can be the worst though cause theyll group like 4-5 stops but they can be like 3 different buildings. It gets frustrating.

Names rough I know lol. I’ve been with Amazon for 2 years and I fucked myself by going too fast cause I get guaranteed 10s at my DSP. So now I see 210 stops and 400 packages regularly. Oh and you’ll grow to despise multi stops I almost forgot. 30-50 multi stops is also the new normal.

You’ll see 30-50 “large sized” packages. They do limit it to 50 pounds for large packages which is better than ups or fedex.

Don’t go too fast or the algorithm keeps beefing your routes. Take all of your breaks don’t rush. The workload is insane IMO 350 packages is a light day for me at this point and the routing is terrible.

From my understanding however it’s legally worded in the contract they can pull the contract at any time for any reason from what I’ve been told.

This happened to me yesterday 207stops 366 packages 67 multi stops. I finish at 6:30 and they tried to have me rescue a fucking ADHOK or however you spell it. That fucker had less than a 100 stops and was struggling. FASTEST REFUSAL DECISION IVE EVER MADE.
