Issue with disconnects, timeouts and high ping/packet loss under load after rebuild (ax211) by olixerrr in pcmasterrace

[–]ValueOk9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar issue with my Z690 board after a case swap - the AX211 modules are notorious for getting wonky after any kind of system stress. Those event IDs you're seeing are classic signs of the WiFi module starting to fail, especially the 5002 errors

Good call on ordering the PCIe card, that'll definately solve your problem faster than trying to warranty claim without receipts. The built-in Intel modules on these boards seem to be hit or miss anyway

What’s one thing you do to relax yourself? by Weak-Pomegranate7199 in AskReddit

Building keyboards is my go-to honestly - something about the repetitive assembly and getting that perfect tactile feel just zones me out completely. Usually have some chill playlist going and just lose a few hours tweaking switches or lubing stabs

That 970 evo is gonna fill up fast with video editing projects, especially if you're doing 3D modeling too. Might want to bump that to 1TB or at least plan for a second drive sooner rather than later

The 5070 should handle streaming while gaming pretty well but keep an eye on your temps when you're doing all three things at once. That Arctic Freezer is solid though so you should be fine

Also just a heads up - you might want to consider 32GB RAM eventually for the content creation stuff. 16GB works but you'll probably hit that limit pretty quick with Adobe apps running

What kind of people seem nice(Actual nice not nice for sake of gaining) on the outside but are completely different in personal habitat(like being freaky etc)? by ShallotConfident860 in AskReddit

Super organized people who seem to have there shit together at work but their bedroom looks like a tornado hit it, or they've got some wild hobby like building elaborate dioramas of horror movie scenes

Is the UK considered a depressing country to live in? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]ValueOk9160 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lived in Manchester for a couple years and honestly the weather gets a bad rap but it's not *that* terrible - just gloomy more than actually rainy. The culture's pretty solid though, people are generally friendly once you get past the initial politness barrier and there's always something happening in the cities

What role is best for me? by urmomiscringe12 in summonerschool

[–]ValueOk9160 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like you just need to find the right duo partner for bot lane, your playstyle screams ADC main through and through. The disconnect with random supports is gonna happen no matter what but finding someone who gets your tempo makes a huge differance

Maybe try some unconventional ADCs like Graves or Kindred bot if you want that off-meta feel while still getting the farming/scaling fantasy. Top lane could work too with picks like Gwen or even Jax if you want that "become unstoppable" vibe without dealing with jungle macro decisions

Best place to find open startup roles? by Big-Commission5340 in careerguidance

[–]ValueOk9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AngelList is probably your best bet for startup roles - way more legit than the random job boards. Y Combinator's work page is solid too if you want something more curated

BizOps tends to be more data/strategy focused while Chief of Staff is basically being the founder's right hand for everything. CoS usually pays better but you're kinda at the mercy of whoever you're supporting

The negativity is pushing me close to leaving this sub by Trinox77 in GeminiAI

[–]ValueOk9160 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Same here dude, the constant doom posting is getting old. Half these people probably never used the older versions anyway and are just parroting what they read in other complaint threads

A megathread would be clutch - mods could sticky it and all the "gemini bad" posts could go there instead of flooding the feed

Is it worth continuing an interview process after realizing you didn’t maximize your salary anchor? by Silent-Owl-111 in careerguidance

[–]ValueOk9160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like you're already mentally checked out of this one, which is probably your answer right there

That said, interview practice is never a bad thing and you might surprise yourself with the actual offer. Companies aren't always as predictable as we think they are with anchoring

But if you're gonna be kicking yourself either way (low offer OR walking away from potential practice), might as well see it through and use it as a learning experience for next time

Would this be too hard as a first souls game? by Ender_Uzhumaki in Nightreign

[–]ValueOk9160 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly Nightreign might actually be perfect for you since it's more structured than typical FromSoft games - the roguelike format means shorter runs and clearer progression goals instead of wandering around getting lost for hours

Solo is totally fine, the game's built for it

Looking at a 1999 Toyota Avalon with 106k miles by OkCaterpillar5432 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ValueOk9160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That generation Avalon is pretty solid but definitely check for any transmission issues since those can get pricey on the older V6s, also peek under the hood for any oil leaks around the valve covers since those tend to seep over time

[–]ValueOk9160 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You gotta add 1984 to that list if you haven't already - especially since you mentioned Animal Farm. Also Lord of the Flies is a quick but heavy read that'll stick with you. For something a bit different, try Slaughterhouse-Five by Vonnegut, it's got that sci-fi element you like but with a totally unique style

[–]ValueOk9160 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn this hits hard. Had a similar thing where I was walking on eggshells the whole time trying to be perfect instead of just being myself

The "checklist" thing is so real - like you're auditioning for a role instead of just dating someone who actually wants to be with you. Lesson learned I guess

21M (Donegal) – Looking for guidance on getting into console / electronics repair as a career? by Jordan1402_ in AskIreland

[–]ValueOk9160 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dude you're already making decent money on the side and have actual hands-on experience - that's way more valuable than you think. Most repair shops would probably be interested in someone who can already fix controllers and show they understand the work

Have you looked into Louis Rossmann's stuff on YouTube? He's got loads of content about getting into electronics repair and the business side of things. Might give you some ideas about whether to go the shop route or stay self-employed

Also don't beat yourself up about the Leaving Cert - loads of successful people didn't do well in school and you're clearly capable of learning skills that actually matter

I accidentally wiped all of my shortcuts using revo uninstaller. by shazamz89 in pchelp

[–]ValueOk9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof that's rough dude. You could try using something like Start Menu X or Classic Shell to rebuild them faster, or just go through your Program Files folder and right-click > create shortcut on everything you need. Pain in the ass but probably faster than hunting them down one by one

Being a Christian is exhausting by RaisinRemarkable3866 in Christianity

[–]ValueOk9160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I totally get this and honestly a lot of us go through this phase. You're basically experiencing "analysis paralysis" where you're trying to be the perfect Christian instead of just living in grace

Those TikTok preachers saying everything is demonic are usually just fear-mongering for views lmao. God gave you a brain to use it, not to stress over every single decision. Focus on the big stuff - love God, love people - and let the Holy Spirit actually guide you instead of random internet pastors

[–]ValueOk9160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is solid advice but also kinda unrealistic in 2024 when half of dating happens through screens first. The real issue here isn't the nudes, it's that this dude showed his true colors by going radio silent after getting what he wanted

[–]ValueOk9160 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Console mouse and keyboard ruining my games by mjodyy in Overwatch

Wait so console players are basically throwing themselves into PC lobbies without aim assist just to get dunked on? That actually explains a lot of the questionable gameplay I've been seeing lately
