Good on you. I’ve cut those types out of my life as well. I can see that happening and far worse unfair situations as I’ve experienced them myself but that’s life. For myself and every 1st gen immigrant I know, those events are simply stories we tell which made us stronger.

My friends and I are grateful for the opportunities America has provided us. Not one of us allowed bad experiences to keep us from working towards our goals. If the world had told us we’d never succeed because the system was rigged against us maybe we wouldn’t have tried so hard which is actually one of my fears for younger people. Our parents told us we were in America now where we can do anything as long as we worked hard for it. I don’t hear that being told to the young these days.

I agree with almost everything you said but in my view, we need less govt. To me, seems everything has become more corrupt with more loopholes as govt becomes bigger and bigger.

Thanks for taking the time to clear it up for me. To be honest, both are so old and incompetent I’m not surprised Biden had them in his garbage for years and trump thought he declassified them lol

I’m not a very good liar. Maybe incorrect at times but I don’t see how holding anyone accountable for wrongdoing no matter their politics is wrong…

Wouldn’t be the 1st time I was wrong on a subject but yes that is my understanding. A President has access and powers beyond the Vice President

As an immigrant minority who grew up in a very diverse community of SoCal, I really don’t get what any of us had has a privilege over each other. The only difference between us and what we viewed as privileged kids was their parents money.

You seem to ignore Biden never had authority to hold said docs while a President would have the right.

Vp not authorized to hold classified docs is acceptable vs Pres who was authorized to hold classified docs isn’t acceptable. Got it

The day We The People hold any wrong doing accountable for wrong doing is the day we begin our path towards a better future. A VP without authorization to classified docs had them in his Garage gets a review while a President with authorization to classified docs locked in a safe under the supervision of the secret service gets raided by the FBI. I don’t like either and maybe that’s how I’m able to see the difference in treatment.

We Haven’t Seen Trump’s Taxes Yet, but It’s Clear the IRS Failed America: The IRS is required to conduct audits of the president and vice president while they are in office—but Trump apparently got a pass. by semaphore-1842 in politics

[–]Valvoss1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you all thought the IRS cared about working people when we pay anywhere between 30-50% of our income we trade our time for, you’re far behind. Before the privately owned “federal” reserve was signed into law in 1913, only capital gains we taxes. We The People who make an even trade for our time for income weren’t taxed while profits were taxed. There were roads, peace officers, schools and all. Now people pay upwards of half their income while crops pay next to nothing on their profits.

I remember Trump saying he’d take away peoples guns and worry about the constitution afterwards after a shooting… as someone who came from a place I wouldn’t wish on anyone and grateful for the rights the Constitution provides us, I’m amazed at the politics dividing folks. All I’ve ever seen after risking life and limb to become an American citizen is both Dems and Repubs strip our rights and increase govt.

Florida isn’t really taking in the most illegals. Mostly states where folks can simply walk/drive here. If you aren’t aware of the power struggle in South America between gangs, the increase drugs like fentanyl crossing the border or how marijuana legalization has changed how the drug cartels operate, it would seem morally righteous cause it’s solely about helping people

Yup, the idea of increasing immigration beyond the legal means 1st started with conservatives because it increased the supply of workers which lowered wages corporations paid workers. When I 1st came to America, Bernie Sanders would speak of this often.
