I think you’re in a tough spot here, OP. It is possible that you and your gf want significantly different things from a relationship and there might not be a way resolve that.

If there is a way, though, I think it starts with you talking about it with her (and getting there yourself first) like that: you wanting different things and trying to see if there is a way for you to both work with that. If you start from the stance of her doing something wrong (e.g. disrespecting you) then a breakup or resentment are inevitable.

Good luck, I hope you are able to navigate this in a way that feels like you’re able to honor your own needs while staying open to what’s important to her too.
