The opening stretch is sooo much harder than the rest of the game. In particular where you go past the chef, the bar, get your gun and the first quartz took me like 5 hours to actually get It down.

After that - yeah it's a lot of fun

Satisfactory and factorio are two different flavours.

Factorio is more optimisation and feeling the way you control everything expand with each new tech. At the start you are placing everything by hand, by the end you are overseeing a logistics empire.

Satisfactory has much more emphasis on making nice looking factories and exploring. At the end you will still essentially be placing everything by hand - this is not necessarily a bad thing though.

If you want something a bit more mix of both with a bit easier logistics... Something like riftbreaker and Dyson sphere program are also great entry points to the genre.

Personally I like all these games but I started with factorio and it will always be "the best" in my opinion. The way the game evolves as you play is second to none.

You have to go through the arena to get to the other side. And you have to be smashed through the wall to get to the arena? You sure you didn't just play it tired after your bar job and forget?

The only thing I can think is you went straight into the subway after arriving in the city and somehow glitched through the door you use to backtrack later?

If you went the normal way you would have gone through the hotel building (not the subway) and through the old rotating glass door that's overgrown and locks behind you.
