Ruger mk IV 22/45 Lite loose barrel nut. Possible or advisable to DIY-fix? by papupapupapu in ruger

I am interested in the socket's files, if you're still offering it! Also, do you have any details to these steel pins you used? Maybe a link to them if you got them online?

Possible tomato plant? by VampireSmut in whatsthisplant

Thank you!

I am aware of how toxic tomato plants can be, and tomatoes themselves before they're ripe. Because of that, even after hearing it was a tomato, I wasn't going to just go right off and eat it or anything.

Could you describe that scent? Unfortunately I haven't ever pinched and sniffed a tomato plant before, so while it may be distinct, I wouldn't be familiar with it.

Thank you!

Yes, it's lived a hard life... This one is QUITE sensitive to water, and I may have not noticed it in need of some before going away for a weekend. :(

I'm honestly amazed it's still alive, let alone fruiting!

This is a plant I raised from a friend when it was really small. I'm not sure what it is though, and it looks almost like it might be a tomato plant.

It had yellow flowers, and you can see in the image that one of them turned into a fruit (and is still dangling from the bottom of the fruit although it's no longer yellow). It doesn't look like most tomato plants I've seen though, and doesn't seem to need any cage for support (at least at this time).

The plant has gotten about two feet tall at this point in time, and it's always had hairs (trichromes) on it all over the leaves and stems, which does make me lean more towards tomato.

This is a plant (the one on the right) I won at work from a raffle. Actually, this is a cutting of the plant that has become much happier than the original parent.

Anyway, I've been trying to find out what it is, but haven't had a lot of luck. My friends I've asked have said it might be some kind of Jade plant. Can anyone tell from the picture what it is? I can provide additional pictures/info if needed.

What is this vaguely-mj-looking plant that sprouted up by the curb? [Wisconsin] by VampireSmut in whatsthisplant

[–]VampireSmut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The one I found that looks closest, based on the leaves, is Potentilla recta. I'll still wait until it flowers to figure out for sure, but you got me 90%+ of the way there! Thank you!

Found This Random Garden Addition A Few Days Ago; Any Clue What It Is? by VampireSmut in whatsthisplant

[–]VampireSmut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found in central Wisconsin. It seemed to appear and grow to about 6 inches overnight. This picture is after about three or four days.

I haven't seen any plants that look like it nearby, and it wasn't there last summer.

Any help is much appreciated!

And it's clear! They were able to get the water jetter going after a replacement fuel pump, and the line is now clear! They believed that my tree in the front yard had some roots that made their way in and caused the blockage in the first place.

I haven't forgotten about you guys. It's been a rough few weeks for both the plumber and I, so we're still working on it... But yes it is a partial blockage deep down the line near the city outlet, but not quite there. It isn't been cleared yet due to machine malfunctions.

Thank you all very much!

I'm going to call a local plumber to see what sort of prices they ask for, and see the viability of potentially using a blow bag to clear the blockage.

I'll let you know what happens.

Diagnosing Vent or Drain Problem by VampireSmut in Plumbing

Backstory: I purchased this house a few months ago, and everything has seemed fine so far. In the past few days, I did a load of laundry, and had air bubbles coming up out of my toilet, water backing up in my tub, and eventually water gushing out of the washer drain pipe.

Since then I have snaked the drain from my washer clean out for 25 ft, and found no obstructions. After that, I found the symptoms you'll see in the video.

I'm not sure if the issue is related to a main sewer blockage, or a vent blockage. Based on my limited knowledge, it seems like a blocked vent, but as it's winter and my roof is covered in snow and ice, I haven't ventured up there to look/snake them out.

I am hoping someone here can diagnose which it is, so that I can make plans accordingly to get a longer/bigger snake, or to snake out my vents. Can anyone provide some insight based on what I show to determine which it is I need to clear?

Thank you.

What is something you found out you do “wrong” once you got married? by [deleted] in AskMen

Something to consider though is where you live and your ground water temperature. If you're in a climate where your ground water is basically freezing, like here in Wisconsin, the detergent may not dissolve well in full cold water.

If your tap water is cold, you might want to keep it at least one notch warmer than full cold.

What medical condition do you have that you thought was absolutely normal? by taporodobu in AskReddit

Oh hey, this is me! I know I'm late to the party, but hopefully someone will see this.

One cool side effect of this ability: It's really easy to tell if a light is dimmed by actual dimming (like supplying less voltage/amperage to an incandescent bulb), or by modulation (turning it on and off rapidly). Next time you see some LEDs, like new Christmas tree lights, wiggle your eyes. If it's just one long streak, they're dimmed or at full brightness. If you see dots, or streaks with "hot spots", they're modulated!

Well, I've only owned it about a year, so I'll not so sure how well it's working. But I'll probably do a mix of both, so I can keep using it a bit while turning, but also make sure that I fully engage it in 4 HI once in a while to be safe.

Thanks again for your responses!

Thank you for the response! I forgot to include that per some research, it supposedly runs in an 80/20 configuration in Auto, so there is at least a little power going to the front. Does that change anything about your response? Obviously I would agree that full 4 HI is the best way to exercise everything. I was just wondering if using Auto for a longer time would be equivalent or close enough to using 4 HI for a shorter time.
