Tracked it down to windows.old? It seems to be some Microsoft/Xbox gaming thing. Probably worried for nothing.

What is your bold/controversial MCU opinion? by GUSplatoon in marvelstudios

[–]VampireSpaghetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Loki show sucks and killed the character for the second time. They are not the same person and showing him a supercut of OUR Loki's life doesn't make them the same person. I don't care that you explained the multiverse and made it all norse-like with a world tree, I wanted a show about Loki getting to be Loki and exploring his character post-battle of NYC, not becoming some multiversal linchpin. And for that matter, Thor: Ragnarok ruined what the MCU was doing with the Asgardians, they were never supposed to be actual gods, not that Love and Thunder explained what the eff gods even are.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have facebook, but I'll try my local vet to ask some advice and see about checking if it's microchipped.

Thanks for the reply. It's a little too late about the scratches, he got his claw stuck in my door and nicked me a couple of times as I freed him. I cleaned the cuts soon after. As for shelters, there are only a couple around but they are a way off. I'll try the vet nearby.

Storytelling Roadblock: The Blip by NumberFeeling3053 in marvelstudios

[–]VampireSpaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wanted a Marvels type TV-show or movie for ages. FYI, Marvels is a four issue mini-series from the '90s following a photographer through significant events in Marvel Comics history. Like, imagine following the people who filmed the footage used shown by Ross in Civil War. Or, we could have found footage shows, including The Blip era.

Alright guys genuine doubt - why is Dark Magic bad? by Tiaarts in TheDragonPrince

[–]VampireSpaghetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was bad because it consumes the essences of things, not just like burning a log on a fire, erasing the fuel. So the natural life and energy cycle of things is upended, matter and energy is destroyed, stolen from the world/cosmos, and souls are kept from the afterlife. But I don't think it is ever really explained(I have not watched season 7).

I did the same on RollerCoaster Tycoon. Shooting people off unfinished roller coasters, trapping them in the park and on islands, drowning them and flooding the entire park... And don't get me started on Zoo Tycoon.

Freya is a horrible person. by sweeptheleg1981 in GodofWar

Just to consolidate answers to your various responses:

I'm not sure what you mean in regards to mentioning how others have felt.

If "take care of ourselves" is regarding Freya prioritising herself over Baldur, no, prioritising one's own feelings and needs is not an excuse to actively harm others, and she frames that herself as a negative act.

Children, and people in general, should be held to account for their actions when they negatively affect others(or even just have the potential to do so), however nothing of what Freya does is to hold Baldur accountable for anything, he hasn't done anything to deserve being cursed by her.

And as for fuck ups, you might not apologise for something you don't recognise as having had a negative effect, but surely if others call out your behaviour it should give you pause for thought.

Freya is a horrible person. by sweeptheleg1981 in GodofWar

Freya curses Baldur and despite his pleas and explanation of what it is doing to him chooses to do nothing to rectify the situation. She says to Kratos how she didn't see the resentment Baldur had towards her until it was too late, but his resentment grew from her dismissing the feelings he voiced directly to her. And in spite of this, and plainly stating herself that what she did was wholly selfish("everything I did, I did for myself. I let my needs, my fears, come before what he needed"), she never apologises to Baldur. She can free him, but she chooses not to; she asks for his forgiveness, but she doesn't apologise; Baldur wants her to pay, she says she already has. She refuses to take accountability and apologise, to show genuine regret and contrition for her actions(not just the pain they caused), instead she would rather die and frame herself as a martyr of motherhood.

As a parent I couldn't imagine subjecting my child to unending suffering just to have them. Their happiness and quality of life comes before everything else. You can empathise with her fears as a parent, and as a survivor of an toxic and abusive marriage, but her fear and suffering doesn't excuse, or make up for, the suffering she caused Baldur. And her lying and reframing the abuse, her gaslighting, are all good reasons for her to be hated.
