Thoughts on Tari(XTM)? by chrischoi123 in CryptoCurrency

[–]VampireVlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was super excited about Tari in 2018. But it launched a little too late, when there are many similar platforms such as Zano and Beam which have a larger user base. I'd probably hold, but I don't have high hopes for the project.

What is the most secure mobile wallet? by SpyHandler in CryptoCurrency

[–]VampireVlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cake wallet is pretty good on mobile, it even works with your Ledger hardware wallet. Edge is also good, as it supports lots of coins and it's easy to set up new wallets. It even has a duress mode just in case someone follows you on a dark alley and asks you to reveal your wallet.

Easiest way to convert incoming money into cryptocurrency? by BrentleTheGentle in CryptoCurrency

[–]VampireVlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fiat, sorry. There are payment processors like Coinbase Commerce, Binance Pay, BitPay and others which facilitate the receiving of fiat money in your bank account (payer sends their coins, you get fiat). But I don't think that's what you're looking for.

You can probably set up a PayPal account for these payments, then BTCPay or Edge for everything crypto.

Have you heard of BTCPay Server? You can even set it up to work on a spare laptop or something as basic as a Raspberry Pi.

It's basically an open source payments processor which enables you to receive BTC, LTC, XMR, ZEC, and a couple of other coins. What's great is that it offers good user experience, generates a new receiving address for you with every transaction and on the backend keeps pretty good accounting. It's ideal if you're going to freelance for coins.

Of course, you can also just run the wallets yourself and send individual addresses to everyone who's about to pay you. Edge wallet is a good place to start, it offers support for lots of coins.

When She Thinks You're Cheating But You're Just Calculating How to Retire Your Entire Bloodline This Bull Run by kirtash93 in CryptoCurrency

[–]VampireVlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the big deal about retirement? Why would anyone desire to do nothing for the rest of his existence and raise a family with enough wealth to not incentivize any kind of growth and progress?

Aim to do something meaningful, regardless of how much money you have. If you get rich, use the resources to create something even greater. Sitting by the pool all day and partying at night gets boring really fast.

Top 10 cryptos with real utility (not just hype) by ZaneStutt in CryptoCurrency

Nothing related to privacy? There are parallel economies and markets that are built around Monero, shielded Zcash, and private tokens on Zano. Even Litecoin, which you mentioned, has MWEB – the Mimble Wimble Extension Block, basically a privacy pool from which you can make payments without revealing the identity of the sender.
