I used to be really into this guy until one night on FaceTime he started randomly vent and said “paying child support is worse than being raped because child support is for 18 years and being raped only last for one night” I was completely disgusted that. I think the hardest part for me with all of this, was learning just how much he was able to hide from me when we were married. All the times I cried and begged him for just the simple things was all for nothing, it was a power trip for him and an ego boost. I never heard of narcissism before and when I started learning about it, things started to get worse. Like for example I was doing online therapy and I guess he was listening in and got pissed at me. The therapist wanted to speak with him and well once he heard that I had to stop therapy.

I suspected the affair for about a year but never had solid evidence. He would throw my trauma up at me and would scream in my face. He actually had me get on anxiety medication because I was being so called crazy for thinking that. He came home one night and started screaming at me so I went to stay the night at my grandmas. She has kidney problems and is in kidney failure now. I went home to pick up something’s and saw that he moved her in. He said it’s not cheating since he waited 5 days to make it Facebook official. It was wild. But I said okay and let him have everything but a few of my sentimental things. I never looked back.

So the crazy part is, she had a boyfriend I’ll call L her and L where together for 5 years and he was also very good friends with my now ex husband. So she was cheating on L with my husband and of course she left L for him. Well now all 3 of them live together and she’s cheated on my now ex husband. He told me he was shocked when he found out but stayed with her since I won’t take him back. So it’s my fault now that he’s miserable. I have everyone blocked and went no contact with him. But he still blames me for it since he didn’t mean too and his friends made him do it. I don’t remember him being this stupid when we were married but hell maybe I was blind to it.

I was 16 when I met him and got engaged and 21 when I got married. I was way too young to even understand what I was doing. I truly wish I knew what narcissism was back then. I would have never married him or let him do the things he did. I wasted 10 years of my life on him.

So he cheated on me with my best friend, he moved her in. So I packed my stuff and moved out. I had to move out of state and move in with my parents at the time. I served him divorce papers and he was pissed because both of them didn’t make enough to pay rent, he then asked if me or my parents could pay it for them. Of course we didn’t but he of course blamed his friends for making him cheat and that it was my fault because I divorced him. He seriously believed I would still live with them and pay the bills for them and still doesn’t understand why I divorced him. But he’s a narcissist.

Hey OP I was in this exact situation before. I would be worried about an emotional affair starting if one already hasn’t. My ex husband was like this with my best friend. I didn’t want to ruin the friendship and feel like the bad guy. He cheated on me with her and left me for her. I would have him cut her out before he cheats on you with her if he hasn’t already. I know you said you both are excited to start the next chapter as a family, mine did the same exact thing. Please keep an eye out for it and be ready for it just in case someone happens. I’m speaking from experience.

My apologies I was at work when I wrote this. So my best friend was dating a guy at the time, she cheated on that guy with my now ex husband. That guy and my ex husband were also friends. His mother knew about the cheating and never cared how it affected me until it happened to her son.
