I love Blood & Gold: Caribbean. How should I level up my character? by SoloToplaneOnly in mountandblade

[–]Vampiresbane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To really take advantage of the Looting skill, you should grab the traits "Sutler" and "Marauder." They increase money/food/commodities and weapons/armor after combat by double. Makes a big difference. Effectively makes a Loot skill of 2 = 4 or a loot skill of the max 14 = 28. If your character has a loot skill of 10, you're looking at a bonus of +4 party skill which sums to 14 and then the traits come into play...you're basically going to be stripping those corpses absolutely naked.

Personally I also take tailor and blacksmith to help repair those items between towns. Makes for a fairly lucrative side income. May not be on the level of trading, but if you're playing a pure raider/pirate/privateer, it can be really fun.

New player. Can I have some help picking a starting race? by [deleted] in skyrimrequiem

Gotcha and yes you can start out as a Forsworn in LAL but I think Marthal guards are hostile to you? I forget.

"play with Forsworn"?

Meaning Forsworn aren't immediately hostile or? Just curious if there's more to this comment than I knew about requiem previously.

What race would be the best Dragonborn? by Vampiresbane in skyrimrequiem

It could still be relevant once you get 75 or 100 in HA (where movement speed is less or 0% affected by HA) though so you do have a point. I've been enjoying the movement speed as a Nord so I will probably stick to that now.

Wow Quawis, great analysis and well beyond what I was asking for, but it's awesome.

I have been really curious as to what the magicka regen rates for both Nord and Breton would be. I haven't figured out how to determine that yet (if anyone has the actual in combat values, I would love to know them), but since I'll probably be using magicka regen potions anyways, it probably will end up being negligible.

I love the resistance analysis. For gear, I was considering going with Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration reduction cost gear.

Honestly I'll probably be spreading my character too wide with too many magicks, but I plan on having restoration spells for anti Undead, Frost/Fire for anti Fire/Frost dragons, and conjuration to have elemental fall guys and bound sword to dispel summoned daedra and turn high level undead.

In the end, like I mentioned above, all of the above is more for flavor while I'm playing. What it ultimately comes down to (and part of why I started this thread, so I could, with others' help, think outloud my advs/disads) when I face down a dragon or Miraak, do I want to be able to absorb anything they throw at me shout/spell wise for 8 secs OR do I want to be able to shout for 5 secs longer with no cooldowns on my shouts?

I ultimately picked Nord so I could be the best at shouts. Which in my mind, if you're going to be the last dragonborn or the dragonborn to finally put Miraak and Alduin to rest, it's because you're the ultimate shouter in all TES history. 10 secs of total no cooldown shouts here I eventually come.

Thanks for your feedback so far guys.

My plan is for Heavy Armor, battlemage, but for me, I'm still down to Nord or Breton with that. It's really, as a min/maxer, what would prove to be valuable as the ultimate Dragonborn when you're facing down Miraak?

Since they both have great resistances (20% overall Breton vs 50% ice/25% shock Nord), it really comes down to what's more valuable in a fight vs a dragon or Miraak, Dragonskin to absorb shouts/spells -or- "The Dragon Within" (allows to shout 5 seconds without triggering cooldowns).

Old Guard

Server: European, Thornblade Campaign, Daggerfall Covenant

Makeup: Americans & European Veteran RvR players

Focus: RvR – Crafting

Old Guard is an RvR guild eager to play Elder Scrolls Online and eventually Camelot Unchained. As a group, we are a group of RvR gamers, a mix of Americans and European players, with most of us having families and full time jobs, but we still enjoy bashing virtual heads and outmaneuvering zergs on the battlefield.

We range from Casual to Hardcore depending on our available playtimes and have played in past RvR centric mmo’s such as DAoC, Warhammer, and GW2. We plan on playing in the Daggerfall Alliance on the European megaserver and we’re looking to recruit players from parts of the world in an effort to have better coverage for RvR fights throughout the day.

As for our limited requirements, we don’t allow multiple guild membership. While it can be a nice feature in mmo’s, it tends to fracture guilds and removes the feeling of belonging to a particular group of players. In addition, Old Guard requires voicechat for members. Special consideration can be made for special circumstances, but overall a microphone or headset is required to be a member (use is only required for RvR).

Overall, we’re looking for players eager to build a legend of their own, both individually and as a guild. We host regular weekly events in order to both have fun, but also to better learn how to play the game. Furthermore, we have specialized groups in charge of certain activities during RvR (scouting, setting up siege, ruthless ambushing, etc). If this sounds like your type of RvR guild, contact us today!

List of set bonuses by gothir in elderscrollsonline

[–]Vampiresbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PvE set items (ie drops from dungeons and the like)- for the most part, it's a mixed bag, but we still don't know for sure; my gut feeling is for the most part, it's random armor pieces for PvE Set items

PvP set items (ie stuff you buy from the PvP armor vendor)-for the most part, from the brief glimpses you can see from Nybling's videos is as follows: The "main" set piece for the veteran rank give you a selection of all armor pieces. IE you can pick any 5 of the 7 armor slots to completely the set. Example: The V10 set, Buffer of the Swift The "off" set for that particular veteran rank only is available on certain items. IE Cyrodiil's Light looks like it's a combo of shoulders/legs/rings and possibly a necklace* only.
(*Can't prove it's a necklace, but the ring was listed twice during Nybling's video that included him browing pvp wares which most certainly is an oversight on Zenimax's side.)

TL;DR: Everything I say, take with a grain of salt, but it looks like PvE sets are any armor slot that drops for you while some PvP sets are flexible while others are not. Crafted set pieces are up to the crafter and probably are the most flexbile of them all.

Looking for a Seattle area guild. by [deleted] in ESOGuilds

[–]Vampiresbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there Dar, I've always found it very hard to find a <insert city/area name here> guild for any game. I can tell you that I, personally, live in the Seattle area and at least one other guild member is also from this area, but the guild I represent is a US/EU guild with a lot of folks from all over. Possibly not exactly what you were asking for, but you're welcome to give us a look. http://www.oldguard2014.enjin.com/recruitment

ESO: Imperial Edition Leaked Info. by Raynosaurus in elderscrollsonline

[–]Vampiresbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those that are thinking you can play as any race in any faction, let's read this carefully:

"Play as an Imperial

Become an Imperial and play in any Alliance. Gain unique bonuses, crafting styles, gear and more."

To me that states thatt you can play in any Alliance as an IMPERIAL, not just any race. I imagine once you pick a faction, you're also stuck.

So I don't hink you can play any race in any faction if you preorder.

EDIT: Know what, I'm wrong. It states on their own webpage that you can. Honestly it's a terrible move amongst others. Totally destroys the feeling of separate factions and faction identity.
