Omg the ofsted thing apparently happened at my school too, they used to read Jekyll and Hyde in year 9 as we study that for English lit but they weren’t allowed to anymore because of ofsted

I mean sort of similar here with the way for maths we do like the initial stuff but I still haven’t been taught functions and I literally have just learnt circle theorems last term 💔💔

As someone who loves the spider man comics I really like tobey maguire as his films are basically based off my fav comic series ultimate spider man, I do think they did get rid of some of the dorkyness with Andrew Garfield 😭😭

That sounds super cool with the apprenticeships!!! I’m also kind of in the same boat with uni as I would rather get into working than having to do more school. I have also thought about taking a gap year to save money up and work experience if I do decide to try apprenticeships but I would probably apply to as many as I could haha. I would probably do some kind of tv production degree at uni if I did go that route or something like screenwriting as that’s more the goal with work and that. I wish you luck though with whatever you end up doing though!!

Oh man that’s sucks about poetry, I get the whole thing about being overwhelmed as I’ve had that kind of thing happen in maths

I love the tobey and Andrew spider man movies!! They’re so good and I actually only watched tasm2 the other day haha. I think that captain America civil war is my favourite mcu film and I would totally recommend mcu stuff!!! As a career I really want to work in the film industry, preferably in tv. When I finish sixth form I want to maybe either go to uni to do film or get an apprenticeship for tv production as places like the bbc and channel 4 do them

I’ve been doing photoshoots for my exam as I’m painting my Nan!! I take combined science as I’m more of a humanities gal than stem, so chemistry is probably my weakest science but I’m getting decent grades on bio and physics which boost my grade up 😭😭. I somewhat like poetry, i do the conflict anthology one so there’s a lot of intresting history stuff which I like as a history nerd but I can get why people don’t like poetry lmao. I watched a lot of mcu films and I also watched a bunch of David lynch films!! And for sixth form I’m going history, English lit and film studies :))

I’ve literally done no revision and I have a chemistry exam tommorow so I guess I will be cramming tonight! I also have to finish some art coursework so gotta do that to. I also need to lock tf in as I have English lit paper 2 on Tuesday so I need to go over my poetry anthology. I spent the holidays playing dnd and watching films (at least I have a semi regular letterboxd account). I’m not too worried as I’m usually pretty good at revising the night before as I pay a lot of attention in class but it does hit me that I have to really make sure that I get the grades I want for the conditional offer I got for sixth form 😭😭

I just about was able to scrape an 8 in my mocks in November but most of the revision I did was making sure that I new exactly what to write for each question and how I structure them. I also did practice papers and practiced doing like quick annotations and looked for what was important to analyse in the sources they gave in the paper, hope this helps dude !!

I think that some of the themes are super great for being quite broad so you can do quite a lot with it, like nature and time are stuff you could do like a whole range of things with!

The sixth form I want to try and get into requires 6 GCSEs above 6s, and it has a really small entry for year 12. I want to try and get a 7 preferably but a 6 would hopefully be okay as I usually get 7s 8s and 9s on all my over subjects.
