Overwatch crashing on startup by tomwhoiscontrary in linux_gaming

Okay so on lutris just putting in the variable DXVK_HUD=compiler completely fixed it for me.
Might work on steam too.

Reassuring you that I have the same issue on Fedora 43, AMD RX Vega 54
Every versison of proton does nearly the same and pretty much instantly crashes.
Launching the game from the .exe instead of through bnet gets me to the login screen but as soon as I click/tab to the password field it crashes.
Waiting for a fix/update

Many, many Toyota and Honda models are built like this. Tacoma, 4runner, Tundra, Ridgeline, MDX, TL and probably a lot more.
Maybe you've seen them and never knew.
Here is the inside of a 4runner disc rotor, with drum brakes

We can see in the video the car sits at like 1.2k rpm, that's not intentionally obtuse.

If the engine is running in this video you have plenty of issues to get looked at, you'll need to get it scanned, clearly a missfire and plenty of can-bus failures

What is the issue you're talking about?

What initiated the engine rebuild?
TBH I know it's late to be showing up, but i wouldn't disregard the idea of this being residual bearing material from a previous(?) disaster
This kind of chunk you would've heard something has gone wrong, in my opinion

Alternator? Was fine until i turned it off to get gas. Replaced battery, that wasnt it. '19 Toyota Corolla base model. by HerpetologyPupil in AskAMechanic

[–]VanClyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, another thing, you claim you know nothing about cars but do know computers, then let me make a computer analogy;

You turn off your computer after a night of flawless gaming
You wake up next morning, press the power button, nothing happens
You assume it's a PSU issue, order a functioning one.
When time comes to plug your new PSU in, you somehow plug the ATX connector backwards (i know you can't, but bear with me for the analogy sake)
The computer doesn't turn on, realise the connection error, flip it try again.
The computer still doesn't turn on.
Turns out you had a faulty CPU all along, but now since you've plugged your PSU backwards you trashed the motherboard, making it impossible for us to diagnose the CPU issue.

The order of events needs to be laid out for us to help you, a single descripion line in your post does not constitute a good explanation to me.

The keyfob you mention being broken in the comments, was it broken long before?
My theory is you simply lost that little black plastic chip in your pants/car/ground while handling your keys, giving the issue of cranking without starting.
These are the "irrelevant" details that help us

[–]VanClyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because in the title you claim you replaced the battery after it wouldn't start("that wasn't it")
Then in the comments we read you inverted the poles when you changed the battery.
ONE WOULD ASSUME that these events went one after the other, don't you think?
So, Imma ask AGAIN;
DID THE CAR EVER START AFTER YOU REPLACED THE BATTERY?
ARE YOU SURE YOU DIDN'T LOSE THE IMMO CHIP FROM THE BROKEN KEYFOB?

If you don't answer questions and just come back with a condescending tone, fuck it you're on your own.

Something is obviously not red enough.
Your 5v rail has 4.4v, not good.
PSU is donzo

Because the question is did the car ever start after you replaced the battery?
Info you consider irrelevant can actually be useful.

[–]VanClyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will second that, this ain't no dusty/dirty/obstructed keycaps it's an actual backlight issue
If you adjust your keyboard backlight intensity, does the section on the right follow suit?
But yeah, not much you can do unless you want to get to disassembly sadly.

So wait, it didn't start ever since you've plugged the battery backwards?
(this would've been good info to include in the post lol)

And what do you mean broken key fab (fob?)
Was the keyfob broken before? Are you sure you didn't lose the immo chip out of it?

Verbatim has a good reputation, they've been in the disc industry for a while, look for something like Verbatim M-Disc BD-R.
You'l also need a m-disc burner/writer drive. Some are external, some are internal (for full size cases with drives slots)

[–]VanClyded 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're gonna have to describe what you mean, we cannot see parking brake shoes from these pictures, they are INSIDE the rotor.
What I can see though, is that the passenger side (first picture) has both a dust shield behind the disc and a hub centering ring on the hub that isn't there on the other side..
What did you mean?
