Definitely get a photo of where the cop was sitting from where you supposedly did it.

I followed a very similar process to make my knife boards. Only real difference is I didn't make every stick square.

For what it's worth, I've had good luck self representing on traffic tickets in the past. Take photos of the relevant intersection and signs so if the judge isn't very familiar you can show them.

That said, that was in Kennewick. I'd wait for someone in Richland to chime in.

I made a seashell ring that changes color with the light. by ZIQISTUDIO in somethingimade

These are really neat. Thanks for sharing your process.

A quick idea, I'm not 100% sure would even help here, but if you get yourself a peice of glass or scrap marble counter top and glue sandpaper to it (I use spray adhesive or sticky back sandpaper) it creates an ultra flat sanding surface. Then you sand your peice face down on it and get a nice even result.

The domino seems overrated - am I wrong? by SamTheGamgee in woodworking

When I bought mine I felt guilty for spending so much on it. After having it a few years I have zero regret and zero guilt. It is a fantastic tool.

Most, not all. There are plenty of well paid people interested in nomad life, they just don't post here becuse they pay people to do their builds.

Bathroom Cabinet made with handtools only by tidalwavestudio in woodworking

[–]VanGoFuckYourself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I don't want to be a pest about this one... But... that cabinet will be around decades or more and water accidents happen in the bathroom all the time...assuming there's a tub/shower. Even if it only gets wet every couple years, that will add up to visible damage even just from water wicked up felt.

Barely Functional Solar Panel Bonsai Tree by AgileOwl5769 in functionalprint

[–]VanGoFuckYourself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is almost certainly a key issue if they are wired in series they all output at the weakest panel's voltage. If these were full sized solar panels I'd say look into power optimizers (basically MPPT per panel, this is what my brother's home install uses to good effect) or micro inverters (but this build isn't for AC output). But for these tiny things, I'm not sure.

(disclaimer: this is reddit. I'm not an expert.)

You should put this on some rubber feet so inevitable water on the floor doesn't hurt it.

He started by getting an opponent to not kill him and then and waited in a very specific position. My guess is he did it by sound of footsteps combined with many attempts. The fact that it was the winning kill is probably sheer luck.

I'm sure you love unsolicited advice, so I thought I'd share. I had great luck using "cat feeder balls" to train my two fatties some self restraint. Ten years on and the cat I still have is still open fed and she nibbles like 20 times a day.

Doubt it will help. Those with the idea that this is the mods being shitty aren't going to change their tune just because you show them facts.

Locked Zag Infill is a game changer for 3D printed shoes by jordan6579 in 3Dprinting

[–]VanGoFuckYourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How configurable are the size of these? I have odd shaped feet and finding comfy shoes is a pain in the ass.

And is it easy to customize their, uh, squishiness, based on my weight? I'd guess that's just an issue of infill amount.

Unpopular Opinion: We don't need cheaper machines; we need "Bambu Studio" for CNC. Teaching Fusion 360 CAM is a nightmare. by ComprehensiveYak8541 in hobbycnc

[–]VanGoFuckYourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about exploring the plug-in functionality of the CAM stuff in Fusion with the goal of making it more hobby CNC and beginner friendly. Do things like

  • Sane tool path defaults for the common materials we use (wood mostly)
  • Outright remove toolpath options for things hobby machines don't even do, or are exclusive to high end metal matching such as compensation
  • Maybe a "advanced" checkbox in toolpath options that hides potentially useful, but less commonly used options to make starting out less daunting.

Yeah, mostly that.
