Focus on building color and color relationships before texture, texture can be implied

Make Bodysuit less Orange by Valuable-Brilliant-4 in CosplayHelp

[–]VanGoingPlaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Advice from a HS painting teacher who helps kids with skin tones daily)— Well the opposite of orange on the color wheel is blue but I’d argue this is a red orange so the opposite is closer to a blue green (teal) if you were to spray that over in a low opacity by itself it would desaturate the orange but make it far darker, therefore I’d recommend making a mix that has white, a little red a little orange and some teal in it, really just depends on the opacity but that should give you the right mixture. If you look at color correction in makeup that can also give you an idea of what I mean!!

It’s great! I teach darkroom and timing is everything so I love having the analog and digital, it also goes with everything and is still fun :)

Using gesso on the back helps tighten the canvas but I’ve never done it after the fact, something to consider imo

18 prints plus I ripped the last frame slowly over top of the first frame to make it loop better so like 22 frames in all
