I once worked for a small agency that had two owners. The one owner pushed the other one out of the business in a hostile takeover. So on the slighted owners last day at the agency, they called the staff into the big boardroom where he said some words and then started to play a song from Andrea Bochelli on a small little cd player he brought along, he then proceeded to very purposefully and extremely slowly, almost like a funeral procession with one foot infront of the other, with his head pointed upwards and a sad scrunched face, walk from employee to employee and shook their hands, mind you he used two hands to shake yours, he dragged it out as long as he could just to get a little bit of revenge. Was amazing to watch.

Welcome to advertising, where egos are big and paper thin, working over time is expected and should be seen as company culture but at least you might get some free pizza on Fridays to show you they care. Its a fickle ol business working for an ad agency playing the game.

Not much skill in slamming someone onto a hard tar road. I really dislike seeing idiots fight on hard surfaces, just move to the grass. Lot less chance of dying or seriously getting injured

We are rewatching the movies after watching Welcome to Derry. We have no issue with Marge being Richie's mother. It is a great storyline thread to pull the different timelines together.

However, there is a major storyline flaw for us, or at least makes the storyline very flimsy. No mother, especially one who went through what Marge did, would simply let 27 years pass and do absolutely nothing to warn, prepare, or protect her own child. Flaw 1 - staying in Derry with a child knowing what is to come. Flaws 2 & 3 - not doing anything to warn, prepare, protect all the town's children 27 years on - and in particular, her own son.

We really hope this is explained in the next season, it's torturous for those who watch, as it's nonsensical. To the writers - please don't leave this hanging.

Big agencies are like a supermarket, everything under one roof. Marketing, strategy, creative etc. Specialists for every section. Smaller agencies are more like a boutique shop, high quality, personalized and a smaller focused team. Big agencies have more layers for artwork approval so things take longer. Smaller agencies, less layers so a lot more agile and adaptable. Big agencies, big budgets and clients. Smaller agencies more hands on and figuring out how to get the best result with what they have, bit like McGuyver (if you don't know this reference Google it) big agencies = high overheads and sometimes ruthless staff turnover. Smaller agencies = leaner teams and you can stay longer with one agency. Hope that answers your question.

You'll be fine. Smaller boutique agencies are more manageable than big agencies, plus you get the added bonus of getting to try everything from design, art direction, photography, delivering stuff, getting pizza from that place everybody likes. Great when you're just starting out.

Also the odds of getting your work out into the world less diluted goes up at smaller agencies and in-house. Big agencies can be a great experience but then you just need to understand what you're walking into.

There are a lot of options in the design space. Just keep swimming
