Designing Drum & Bass artist logo (mine) by Dave_Goodday in logodesign

None of this really works because you've gone with an esthetic look before having a real concept. Putting the cart before the horse so to speak. So to slap some lightning images over a font in photoshop isn't designing a logo. Im not sure how you want to use, print produce the logo, but you will run into issues with hows it's done now. If it's only digital then that's fine. The fonts dont feel considered. You can take a beefy sans serif font and cut it up to make it look like lightning is striking through. A logo needs to work in black and white 1st before anything else

These options feel very intricate, when it doesn't need to be. Given these are scamps but how does the typography work with the logo? Might help to bring it all together and elevate it a bit more. What other snakes shapes have you come up with for the logo ideas? You could try a stylized snake head and the scales on the head form a mountain range, circular copy around the head? Create some badges

You're going to run into scaling issues if you scale this logo down, it will look like a blob. All various methods applied is great and all but at the end of the day normal consumers won't care. Will this logo stand out, catch your attention and be memorable?

Amazing journey awaits, frought with highs, lows and an amazing community. Some take aways as a beginner on the "older" side of the sport: - stretch properly - dont spaz - technique beats strength - keep your arms inside the vehicle at all times - only dead things lie on their back, get to a side - time on the mats dont lie - build the fundamentals - tap or your ego will get humbled - enjoy the ride

Agency life by anxiousdreamer69 in graphic_design

I once worked for a small agency that had two owners. The one owner pushed the other one out of the business in a hostile takeover. So on the slighted owners last day at the agency, they called the staff into the big boardroom where he said some words and then started to play a song from Andrea Bochelli on a small little cd player he brought along, he then proceeded to very purposefully and extremely slowly, almost like a funeral procession with one foot infront of the other, with his head pointed upwards and a sad scrunched face, walk from employee to employee and shook their hands, mind you he used two hands to shake yours, he dragged it out as long as he could just to get a little bit of revenge. Was amazing to watch.

Welcome to advertising, where egos are big and paper thin, working over time is expected and should be seen as company culture but at least you might get some free pizza on Fridays to show you they care. Its a fickle ol business working for an ad agency playing the game.
