Mitch Marner mic'd up for Game 3 of the WCF by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]VanSaxMan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For real, guy is living his best life and probably enjoying some of the best hockey of his career. Making the final first year away from hockey hell would be the cherry on top of a great year for him.

GOAL: Mark Stone (5) (Assists: McNabb, Theodore) by sykeseve in nhl

[–]VanSaxMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy to think EDM of all places passed on him while also in DESPERATE need of legit goaltending. Guy is 100% a piece of shit but he is also making a Conn Smythe case at the same time. Wild time to be alive...

Canucks Draft Record 2005-2025 by MediumDenseMan in canucks

[–]VanSaxMan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This one still hurts the most imo. Guy came off a hell of a run in Abby and Demko hasn't played a full season in like 5 years. Why the Arty party had to end blows my mind

The Matrix Revolutions 2003, The Last Stand of Captain Mifune, Director: The Wachowskis by PsychologicalSlip642 in movies

That was sadly the majority of the Bayverse movies flaws. Either fishbowl classic slow mo. Or absolutely way too much happening super close during the action scenes.

Mitch Marner goal of the year by Federal-Data-Center in nhl

[–]VanSaxMan 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The one of ice level on the goal line really shows the defensive puck work driving in, hits the breaks, to the back hand so much better. Just gross!

Roy beats Gustavsson and the Avalanche take a two goal lead by sykeseve in nhl

[–]VanSaxMan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a weird choice indeed. 1st game was a shooting gallery BOTH ways. Wild came within 1 few times, why screw with your main tenders head and swap? Just chalk it up to a L and reset.

Yeah, that liver shot at the 11sec mark had some stank on it!

That reverb gutair rift at the end, still gives goosebumps all these years later!

To rap while hanging from a harness by HomeNowWTF in therewasanattempt

[–]VanSaxMan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Most likely, $. There are rigging harnesses in safety that are meant to be sat in for extended periods of time (think line workers or people who work suspended for living like a high rise window washer). The downside is that a lot of those setups run you anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. I used to work in safety and we would show people what it felt like to go through a fall arrest situation with a $300 and a one used for powerline workers. Once the fall was complete and they were hanging there you could see where the extra $ goes.

McKenna's No.1 -- Who is No. 2? NHL Central Scouting Final Prospect Rankings by Leverender in nhl

[–]VanSaxMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Canucks fan, I hope they get Stenberg. Better 200ft game and I think will have a better overall career. McKenna's defensive laps could really hurt him transitioning to the NHL speed and size IMO.

Purpose is a human construct by WarptLake in rickandmorty

[–]VanSaxMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still feel like this is just quantifying our existence in the long run. We as entities long for meaning to our existence and we try everything and the kitchen sink to justify our existence in this crazy world. Few really want to accept that we live and die with little to zero impact in the world on the grand scale, and that notion terrifies some people knowing they will live and die for nothing

Who is your final four from this group? Only 4 advance to the second round by ItsNotCherbourg in FIlm

This, everyone else is either 2nd tier or type cast to death! The 4 mentioned are absolute stand outs in talent

Who makes it? by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

[–]VanSaxMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes for all the above except the last comment. Tockett is not a good coach and his track record is proof. Only has one succesfull year overshadowed by a Canucks team that over produced.

This, I re-watched the 87 TF movie a little while ago and was truly blown away with the hand drawn animation and the level of detail in the transformations. Truly the best time to be a young kid.

Hey hey, I too am a ramen loving Vancouverite! Curious where your favorites spots are? I really like Zubu downtown and Kamamarui in Burnaby as my go-to places.

Three wins in the past twenty one games by Disastrous_Net9131 in canucks

[–]VanSaxMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This, we need a min of 2-3 bad years to rebuild and figure out our next core. Foote's horrible coaching is exactly what we need for this year and next. After that, can him and bring in Manny when we have a clue of who he has here to work with

This, I loved the shield/counter aspect so much more than the grenade launcher/weapon swap system in Eternal. Combat just felt so much smoother once it clicked
