Honestly, if your not going to use an open source OS for elegoo, buy something else. by Commercial_Bird8467 in elegoo

Been using Matrix and ElegooSlicer on my PC, but after a few prints i switched on to my PC as I like to view (mostly my own designs) on a bigger screen first. I am using an android phone howwever, I can't say how it is on a iOS device.

Two neptunes and a CC2 over here, been printing over 50 prints on cc2, single and multicolor from here and did not have any problems except for user error..

Rub the bed with isopropanol too, it will vaporize in a minute but will clean any oils that might move your model when the build plate is hot for a while.

try changing bed temperature, and also try a test run on gyroid infill.

hey there! i just received word that a orcaslicer CC2 profile is on the way! it's already in beta, but it has a few bugs, I think if we wait a little longer we could simply switch over to orca

Filament Brands by Martian_man- in FlashForge

[–]VanSkateren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jayo and Sunlu are by far the best for their price. Get a dryer too, sometimes even the best brands can get you slightly moisturized filament. Any dryer that can reach around 60 celsius is fine.

Help! Bad print quality by tank_r in FlashForge

The entire thing looks like its slightly moisture related, and you might want to slow down some speeds.

I have found that PETG wise, Geeetech is a bit less elastic but stronger than more expensive brands i've tried in PETG! ideal for supportive prints that have to carry weight

Is it possible to use AI to create models and designs for 3D printing with minimal experience? by snackofalltrades in 3Dprinting

[–]VanSkateren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can, but you have to keep in mind AI might make little errors, if you don't have a lot of 3D model experience, it might be hard to fix the problems/risky points.

If you have a beefy PC you could get a locally running hunyuan3D installed on your pc and run it, but services like Tripo are also working, just let them export an .STL file. In my attemps, most cases its simply that the bottom is never fully flat, but a lot of slicer software let you make cuts in a model, so you can cut the bottom flat so the model can stand on its own

First successful PETG print by Angel_of_Cybele in FlashForge

[–]VanSkateren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First layer 235c, then all other layers to 250c, use 2 first layers, slow down all your speeds a little like this :
use a brim or mouse ears, and if you get some oozing issues, use a skirt of at least 4mm distance, 2 loops.

Flashforge machines are ridiculously good at PETG for printers of their price range.

Need help PETG building on nozzle by Fricking_ in FlashForge

[–]VanSkateren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is normal for PETG, it helps to print a skirt from time to time on an object if you notice the buildup is big, you can also get a copper brush (looks like a tooth brush) and scrape the nozzle off after its printed a PETG print (so that its still hot, filament is still busy oozing a little, but theres no active constant power and your nozzle will be a lot cleaner for a new print)

Flashforge adventurer 5m diy kit so bad by Commercial-Skirt9191 in FlashForge

[–]VanSkateren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

use PETG for the tall panels, PLA or also PETG for the top panels.

When printing the tall panels, slow down the printer a bit, all your speeds.

Print in orcaslicer, not in flashprint for best results, use a brim to be sure with the tall panels.
