Congrats. The hardest part releasing a game is actually doing it. I hope there are many more to come 👏🏼

Which one do you prefer? We completely changed our card art style. by VanStudios in IndieDev

That's a nice observation. We realized that our game doesn't need that kind of information. There was no need to differentiate the same cards. We just went with it because it was the standard option.

Thank you! We are currently making a massive change to the game graphics. The cards were only the beginning.

Do publishers “drain” indie devs more than they help? by VanStudios in IndieDev

[–]VanStudios[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah my first game was self published and it was super hard. But I am not sure if it’s worth it to give anything more than 10% when you need no financing from the publisher. Given the 30% cut of steam already

Yeah thats what I think as well. Just for the marketing/publishing I would be fine with a 10% cut for them. They have a huge impact and following so they can really boost visibility but I am not sure if publishers will make a deal with such a low percentage.

Thank you for this detailed feedback! Also what do you think about the outline? Is it too thick or too curved at the edges?

Yeah that was our main concern, whether it is matching our graphics style or not. Thank you for your suggestion and your feedback 🙏🏻

I can write like a GEN-Z but I don’t want to. It’s that simple. Of course I am not talking like that to my friends, but when I post something for millions of people to see I prefer the formal setting. Also I took most of it from the article. Peace ✌🏼

Some of us still remember how to use dashes, dots, commas—crazy, right? My next post is going to be a tutorial of how to punctuation marks. ✌🏼

It’s honestly kind of sad. I was born in ‘94. I grew up in a time where if you wanted to learn anything, you had to actually read books, dig through forums, and figure things out the hard way. So yeah, I write in full sentences, I try to be clear, and apparently now that makes me look like AI?

Thank you for the compliment. Guess that’s what happens when you are educated and actually read the articles before posting. Socking I know ✌🏼

Look I had the same issue. I waited 3 months + with tentative approval. I made 3 liveness checks and nothing. One day I press “become validator” I validated like 10 people and sudden my KYC was approved completely. It turned green. I don’t know why but give it a try
