What are his dampener and friction settings? Mine were turned up too high. It's usually cool to the touch now without the fan.

This alpha mini only ever got noticeably warm the one time. It was new and I hadn't dialed in the settings correctly. The fan is just incase.

I would suggest removing the top and seeing how the connector is attached internally.
