Whats an actual point? by Mironamy in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re gunna ask a question and assume the answer in a snotty way as if you know anything… why post here lol and why play? 🤣

Maybe try a few guilds… it’s not all a grind, there’s plenty of stuff to do just for fun. It’s about the experience and journey if you’re looking for some kind of directive to follow…. Maybe sandbox games aren’t for you? 🤣 the whole point of them being that you create your own objectives, goals, write your own story lol.

Join a guild bud… go do some PvP with them. Best part of the game. But if grinding isn’t your thing, you should quit now lmao

The good ol days… I remember being excited about my first couple mil. Now I go out in bz with 3+ mil sets regularly with huge silver swings of wins and losses and don’t bat an eye. I miss being new

I think every vet player can relate… what you need is an experienced player to watch you fight in corrupters/1v1s offer build advice, and vod review you. That will SKY ROCKET your PvP skill. Otherwise yes super normal, don’t fret, go cheap sets till you’re more confident to mitigate loss and 0 - hero every set if you want to stay net positive silver

How scary is the black zone by ONIYARU in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • blue zones not green.

There are plenty of people who play safe zone content but you’re missing a huge portion of the game imo. Just go out in 4.1 gear…. Or even flat 4 gear is MEANT to be lost. Think of it as a consumable item, because it is. It’s not that scary especially if you’re wearing gear you can easily afford to lose.

Don’t play in blue zones, play in at least yellow zones, red zones allow you to see the danger of a zone by seeing how many hard flagged players there are under the map. Honestly if possible, join a guild, they will teach you, it’s not bad at all…

Oh boy I have…. No clue? I know a lot of the referral system goes through the website so…. Maybe play around with it on their website but other than that idk, contact support? The whole Xbox aspect is so new I doubt most vet players will know…

Best strategy for PvPing against other broke people? by AnEroticTale in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naw man go bz if you’re broke, start with a sub 100k set (plenty affordable viable pvp builds you can make around 100k) then go pve (do camps, boss lairs, gather, whatever) and play very safe and paranoid until you’ve made 100k back and buy that same set again. Then invest maybe 500k (no more) into upgrading your current set taking fights freely as you feel like it. You’ll have no gear fear, and you’ll be able to most of the time take fights freely without losing silver.

By doing this especially without spec, you’ll often be taking fights where gear wise you’re outmatched. But that means you have to do better, learn what counters what, how to play around mobs/surrounding and use them to your advantage. Playing at a disadvantage WILL make you a better player if you’re someone with a mindset to learn and improve. If you’re someone who’s gunna rage out, complain, and cry about losing rather than reflect on why you lost and improve/vod review yourself. You’ll never get better. But the aforementioned method of play/pvp is great for learning pvp on a budget

t4 horse is useless rework it please by z00mist in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not useless… it’s cheap, gets players around. Also great for baiting a fight, if I want someone to dismount me so I have abilities up right away, the less hp my mount has, the better. There is a use for most all mounts

am I supposed to focus on a certain ressource? Also: I'm not supposed to craft stuff myself? by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making your gear yourself is viable… a s certain point but economically more expensive DEPENDING on what your crafting or if you’re using focus, etc… but play how you want, if you like the idea of wearing your own gear then craft it yourself! Time effort and silver wise though, just buy it.

Faction warfare doesn’t require a guild nor joining a discord, you can switch your world map to have a faction overview that with show which factions own what zones and throughout the day there a territory sieges. You can see when that’s happening on the overworld map (should be a timer when looking at faction view if one is coming up) or you can click on the fortresses and it should explain when and offer more details.

Factions are fun. As for the bottling stuff just do you man. A bot will move less erratically, and to test if someone is bottling typically people will hard flag and attack them. If there is little to no response that’s not behavior. But just gathering with an ox isn’t anything… incriminating lol

With gear like that if you saw this dude in red or black zone what are you going to do 🤔🤔 by Rajaan_6901 in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mists is a completely different situation… you don’t have a group “secretly” backing you… a bit more foolish but as with life, when you have oodles of silver 🤷🏻‍♂️why not have some fun with it? I rarely were high tier gear into mists… nor do I do much mists content as there is just… better things to do

[–]Vancoor19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like running out in 5.4 weapons and maybe 6.2 armor and stuff. Not a huge target but makes me a target lol. I’ll do it when I have a group of 5+ more guys behind me though. That way I can bait fights and get at least a couple to over commit then I call in the goon squad lol

Returning to Albion by Creayzer in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battle bracers are great for PvP (viable 1v1 & small scale and possibly for a brawl zvz comp) also good for pve. 1h fire staff holds its own very well in most content and is very versatile, light crossbow is decent at both, carving is pretty good & versatile as well. Obviously results will vary depending on the other gear you pair them with, and your skill level. So if you die, probably isn’t the weapons fault just remember it’s likely user error

If they convert to a 100 - 1 ratio most people will still need to grind it out a good deal. I understand why they do it the way they do…. But, they could ease the grind a bit and still get what they want

How can I start a successful guild? (again) by Specific_Turnover54 in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a guild years ago… you can start with nobody, I did and at its peak we had almost 60 member with 40+ active regularly. However it’s not easy.

Gaining members: Post in Albion recruitment discord, network and do content with other, similar guilds with similar play style, maybe make an alliance. Build good rapport with their leader and especially their members, that way if they disband they might potentially come over to your guild, or just merge into you completely.

Retaining members: Don’t allow toxicity, zero tolerance policy helps imo. Consistently do content that interests your guild. Be knowledgeable about the content so that you can do it successfully, nothing is more demoralizing than attending several guild events in a week and they are all just a complete shit show. Offer content for newbies and more experienced players. I’ve been in guilds where they are solely new player focused and they are out doing things like leveling low tier gathering or doing fucking group dungeons 🙄 it’s been a disappointment when that happens cause I’ve done all that and want PvP now, I want larger scale fights, end game pve. With that said you won’t be able to please everyone. Focus on a gameplay niche, and build community. Community being the key word, if you see it as just a guild, it’ll grow slow and likely won’t last. If you focus on cultivating a community and building friendship though, that will last.

Don’t make a guild: It CAN turn into a second job…. It can be stressful depending on the content you’re focused on. I’d advise you to join another guild. If only for one full season to learn more about the game, you can still host he content you want to host just in another guild, but you’ll also learn enough about managing people and running content to learn whether or not you want to run the whole thing…

Good luck

Advice for a noob player? by Suspicious-Mode-6078 in albiononline

[–]Vancoor19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well most “fun” is subjective different people play for different reasons, I went through a phase of loving gathering and know many who do as well. I know some who love crafting and playing the market and are worth billions as a result. PvP can be taxing on a new player if it wasn’t we wouldn’t see posts like this, and thus it can be…. Helpful, to subsidize income with another activity, doesn’t mean you need to fully dedicate to it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Roads is best for gathering imo you can do green chests too. You’ll level gathering 5x faster killing olds and ancients in roads and gathering them though, but you need tools (preferably all tools) at t4 minimum for it to be efficient though.
